@CPU_UKIt runs better on DX12, they just do that to *** you off
Dx12 is the only api available in battlefield 2042
- @CPU_UK You have to Manually activate DX12, I went on youtube and watched a video how to do that and better optimize the game for playability changing settings they wont give you access to in-game like they should. Game runs better now and getting better FPS.
- CPU_UK4 years agoSeasoned Ace@emerson1975 PROFSAVE_profile file defo has it off by default 'GstRender.Dx12Enabled 0'

the game has only one API > DX12
so, it doesn’t matter what setting is in the config 😉
- KalashDEM4 years agoSeasoned Traveler@CountSero Oh that's why I get less FPS when it's GstRender.Dx12Enabled 0

If you run Afterburner while playing, you will see that DX12 is the default, indeed the only, API used.
This is a matter of fact and very simple to check.
- @Ruggels you weren't banned for that?!? I changed it to DX12 too, but than I reverted it back, cos I didn't want to mess around with "unsupported" features. A few hours later I got banned for "cheating". -.- srsly, what the f....
- CountSero4 years agoSeasoned Ace@KalashDEM the problem is more an unoptimized implementation of the DX12 API
If you happy with messing around with the settings that’s ok
But I’m not so experimental anymore and I don’t know what random effect such things will cause in the background. - CPU_UK4 years agoSeasoned Ace
Turned DX to 1, that defo smoothed out the game, but no change in fps (70-80). New file appeared in cache called '9352.BattlefieldGame.PcDx12'. Then dropped quality settings from High to medium, I'm now cooking on 110-120fps.
