@fixatelive A good idea but I think that would have a negative impact on PC servers. I would imagine consoles are bolstering it and that’s why it’s not been done, yet anyway. I could be wrong.

@fixatelive It’ll be down to money and predicted revenue. A pc player has literally nothing to lose switching cross play on but a console player it makes all the difference off. A very large amount of console players probably don’t even know what cross play is so a default change moves the masses away. I’m all for it and a console only cross play should be available for next gen machines. They (whoever signs these things off) will be Damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
- @David6479 I agree with pc player have nothing to lose with cross play on, so cross play on pc can be enabled by default, although for console players as you also indicated most players do not know what cross play is, that is my reasoning why cross play should be disabled by default on console, because these players will have a bad experience playing with pc players and just leave and not play again.

Yeah that my biggest problem with it beeing on by default.
I know plenty of players who buy a console and games, and never read up on anything. They just buy the newest console and never visit websites, forums or different groups on social media. Someone like that would likely try Battlefield and never even know they are playing against PC players, and end up quitting because they just aren't having fun.@BizzyVaping Yeah exactly what I think. I’ve just installed the PS4 version onto the PS5 for a look and had two full games of breakthrough at 8am uk. They started with around 10 bots each side but after 30seconds it was full of players. Didn’t help second game was Hourglass. There is literally no difference between the two versions except the main menu was slow and sluggish on PS4 version which I found unusual.
Get rid of PC and have all consoles in it together.
