@fixateliveDon't think it's a good idea. Battlefield games are mostly played on PC, so if they turn off crossplay by default, you won't find a match, in fact, you already can't find a match without crossplay on consoles. Even if you do, you'll play against bots.
@Jozso987 You can't even get into a game with bots with crossplay off. I think DICE disabled this feature silently. It's their way of forcing crossplay with the PC crowd.

- @David6479 I'm in EU on Series X and can't find any game with crossplay off using the in game toggle. If I use the old crossplay option that you have to turn off on system level, I can start a game but with a vast majority of AI (had 100% real players matches before the last update using this method).
Xplay option is completely bugged on xbox. If you use the in game option, it looks like AI are not added and match just doesn't start. If you use the system wide option it seems to work and adds AI to fill the gap. But it also looks like both options are considered as 2 different player pools, so the global population with xplay off on Xbox is divided even further and smaller than before and it's very hard to find a full match whatever the mode, time or region. PS5 is less impacted as it had a consistent way to turn off xplay from Day one, and they even have a disclamer asking a first time if you want to turn it on or off (so it's very easy for any PS5 player to understand that this is something possible, while xbox players might never knew about it or are now lost between 2 ways of turning it off, with one that seems completely broken...).
