Disappointed Again...Hype gone here's why.
Weather
Besides team balance... nothing made me quit a map in BFV more than the weather elements. Sand storm, snow storm and now tornadoes 2042.... presumably earthquakes, tidal waves. Please Dice this is the over the top crap I knew you were going to throw into this game. Just STOP!
Vehicles
Hoping for a BF4 style of vehicle selection.... sounds to me more like Star Wars way of doing things. I am not impressed if this is the case. Also hate the robo dog already. I really hate the futuristic crap!
Soldiers
In BFV Breakthrough one of my biggest complaints was the number of snipers on the attacking team needed to be limited. Often times more than half the attacking team just sits and camps with no real push. With the new class system is it safe to assume one team can have 128 snipers? Also I am fearful that you may implement a hero system like Star Wars please don't!
Rental Servers
Hopefully we can get back to RSP and turn off all of the fluff... like dynamic weather robo dogs and lockon weapons that require no skill. I really hope you give us the tools to let us customize the game as we see fit to play.
I was really hoping for a game that was somewhat grounded in reality or at least a believable work of fiction. You couldn't even get that right with BFV when you have actual history to use as guidelines. This crap will only get worse because EA DICE think that stuffing a game with more fluff will make it better. It will be futuristic crap to get fringe players excited for two weeks. Completely disappointed for a third release in a row. But hey all the cod players are happy ...because this is the crap they are used to. I could go on... but this is my initial reaction.
Whoever made this post captured my thoughts perfectly. Less is sometimes more. I see the same thing in zombie movies for example, every sequel tries to up the anty of the previous rendition. Start of with just plain zombies and then you end up with zombies forming a military unit, when all we wanted was an a standard survival story. They always have to one up and eventually totally lose their identity.
I stayed away since BF4 and I hope they have heard enough complaints they would have gotten it right by now. I will wait and see the finished product, with my fingers crossed.
COD may figure it out before they will though. I never played COD before unit Modern warfare. They have this mode called rebirth and it's a mini battle Royale. If they didn't have a perk called overkill that alowed everyone to carry 2 primary weapons, it would be easily the greatest game mode ever invented. With overkill most people have a sniper rifle which is unfortunate, I hate snipers.
I can play rebirth Island all day and night. It's a shame they only have 1 Island. If they did its sad to say I probably would never own 2042. COD is on their arse. They have a knew Modern Warfare coming out also. Right now I will be torn unless my first love finally gives the people what they want. Come on Dice. Pay attention, it's vital.
