This is all nice and dandy, really good ones in the mix finally, but one thing you really need to do with the Specialists is to split them up army wise.
Sure people are shouting to remove them, but we all know that is not going to happen. They are here to stay and that's it.
And in reality their existence is not really a game breaking issue, I wouldn't even call it immersion breaking either... at least not completely.
We have always been fighting with same looking soldiers on our side in BF games, only this time all of them have a name and identity... that's pretty much the only real difference between specialists and normal grunts. Remove the names and we have grunts... .... just snazzy jazzy looking ones.
Grouping them up into some kind a more focused class system would definitely be a good start too.
But I'd claim that the biggest and baddest immersion breaking thing about the specialists is the fact that all of them are available on both sides.
It's disheartening to have a gunfight against your own clone... THAT is not Battlefield, not in the slightest.
Sure the Lore says that the No-Pats can choose whatever side they wanna fight with, but even that is a low effort to try to justify the availability on both sides.
They picked a side for that battle and that's it... not on both sides. Period.
(Also a straight and honest apology would be really nice too. If you wanna make a Hero Shooter, then make one... but do not try to force BF be one. People wanna try new things, and people make mistakes, that's natural and ok. But the biggest people admit their mistakes and apologize)
