I don't. The days of season passes are long gone but at the same time, it has been painfully clear that Electronic Arts and Dice Sweden aren't willing or aren't capable of committing the resources necessary to support and sustain the demands that modern multiplayer gaming comes with.
Old fashioned season passes would certainly be easier for them but considering games these days are costing closer to $100 just for the base game and given the tarnished reputation of the franchise and the developer that drove it into the ground, I am not sure if it would be the fiscally responsible thing to do.
What I want to see is a Battlefield game that works Day 1. That doesn't need 6-12 months just to fix the launch issues so that they can focus on the content. What I want is for them to commit a full team to working on continuous content and updates with a long term support goal in mind instead of the old fashioned 2 year turn around that they have clung to.
Either way, I have sincere doubts that neither Dice Sweden or Electronic Arts are currently capable of supporting the next game to a satisfactory level regardless of whether or not they go old school with a premium pass or take the modern approach.
