I would be supportive of this change with conditions.
They cannot affect anyone while in spawn. As it is, you will find AT LEAST 1 armor in spawn, 5 seconds in, raining down unlimited fire on locations. If you make that invulnerable, nobody would leave spawn.
Spawn killing has been an issue in just about every MMOG. Here is how you fix the zone
- You take no damage while inside the zone
- You can do no damage or affect game play while in zone
- once you leave zone, you cannot reenter zone.
These 3 qualifications give a player a chance to get in game

I think they mean the base area where the enemy can't get to

How do you avoid spawn traps with those mechanics?

When enough people are three, you can overtake what is outside. This happened in WoW all the time. Spawn campers would be trying to trap you, and a group would blast them. That being said
You dont have to spawn at the beginning.
Now, if you have lost every node and can only spawn there, a spawn trap will be forming anyway
- 3 years ago@Padding_Ur_Stats I'm for whatever works, I simply want a fair fight so my suggestion is based around that. There could be a multitude of rules including what you mentioned.
I think making all damage ineffective going into or coming out of a spawn zone would be a good start along with killing any player immediately if they try to enter an opposition spawn zone.
