- Adamonic4 years agoLegend@X-Sunslayer-X speculation: they have been ordered/signed NDA to not speak publicly in regards to this topic. There could be no other logical explanation as they have responded to some ridiculous requests and posts, but not some of the biggest on here, liked on Twitter, and upvoted on Reddit.

I haven't read the comments im just giving my input.
They do read our topics, i remember just a week or so before update 1.1.0,
i complained that it was annoying, that you couldn't edit settings in the 30 second period before first spawn, they did not write a reply, to let me know if they saw or was aware of it.
But when update 1.1.0 was released it was fixed, i assumed they read it, but im not sure, because they could also have known about it already.
But this friday i posted a complaint about 60mm flak pod is OP, i have just gotten a response on that, so now i know for sure it was read.
Personally i feel the main problem is most of the community only hates on the devs, i can't imagine how hard it is to work on something, and all everybody is doing is just hating, not only what you have worked on, but also that you're just breathing. I don't think anyone could work like that, in any line of work.
I do understand that the community is furious, but it does only makes it worse, that people keep on hating them for atleast trying to fix their mistakes.
In Conclusion:
I would love some more replies and or input on the forum, because im mainly in here (I don't like reddit in general. And twitter confusses me sometimes 😂), but i would rather they take their time getting as much feedback as possible, than using a lot of time making a lot of replies. - EA_Atic4 years ago

Not up to me to share that. But everyone is aware of feedback regarding server browser and MM etc. @X-Sunslayer-X,

@EA_Atic @So EA knows abouth the mess caused by MM and how unhappy the community is about it but flat out refuses to comment on it?
Just trying to understand, you are saying that there is willful and deliberate avoidance of sharing any insight on the topic from EA to the community?

@EA_AticI am glad the team is aware. As a long-time Battlefield veteran who has over 5K hours in BF titles, I can tell you this is the single most frustrating component of BF2042. It literally makes me not play. I dread having to click a tile and hope I get a decent map, not knowing what my ping will be, if the match is already halfway done. etc. I am joining the game blind. Then you have to do that over and over after every match, sometimes you end the game in a full server/instance, then are waiting for players for 3-4 minutes the next. Like what is going on? If you end with a full server, can't all those players just stay together, scramble teams, not squads, and backfill from new players joining?
There is no such thing as a map rotation. That was one of the best things, knowing the server you are on has the perfect map rotation where you can stay on for hours. I literally play for the weeklies and maybe the daily bonus and call it a day. That is mainly due to 2 things, lack of a Server Browser/Persistent Servers and the TTK vs TTD issue low ping players are experiencing.
The TTK / TTD issues are the worst, but I'd be ok with clicking blind if after I "get what it get" there is a decent rotation and not the same 3-4 maps over and over and playing the same map 2 - 3 times in a row. That along with keeping the same team/server the whole time, etc. I don't need a server browser IF the current system worked correctly, but it'd be nice to have.
- Adamonic4 years agoLegend@Echo6Echo that's the thing, we are in single match instances. There are no persistent servers which means no map rotations.
VMs spin up with a randomized map and players every time.
Server Browser and persistent servers go hand in hand. - Psubond4 years agoLegend

Server Browser and persistent servers go hand in hand. And their map selection rng sucks. If/when they steal 24/7 breakthrough again I'll start tracking the maps i get so we have hard numbers
But i digress, EA refusing to acknowlegde the problem and give a response as to if server browser/persistent servers are even being considered is a giant middle finger to the community

It means we don't have anything to share at the moment. @Psubond,
@Adamonic, persistent servers do work in Portal including featured mode. Its how I run my FNB at the moment without hosting a server. and in theory if no one leaves those servers its always there. (but I get what you are asking for).

/AticOh I know, the Portal method is the way to go, just in AOW.
Dealing with MM/RNG every time you play one round is ridiculous and unnecessary. Leave that for "Quick Match".
