I hear the next patch has a little bird nerf(cause that's what we need), but as it stands now you really have to be lucky that theres not more than one person with an AA Launcher.I just played a game where I was able to take down multiple Attack Choppers by myself with 2-3 AA Missles, very fast. The missles didnt unlock after their flares. And i was able to launch missle fast without having to relock.The AA is busted atm and Air does not have the advantage, if you kill even one person and they respawn with AA your finished.

@Flavin913I suspect that the thing that they will nerf is the Nightbird minigun damage vs helicopters.A Nightbird minigun on the right hands can currently deplete the entire health of an attack helicopter that is not piloted by an insane stuntman before the attack heli has the chance to launch a singe heat seeker back.

Don't you dare Nerf LittleBird without fixing AA

I mean how strong should heli's be really? How many kills should you get before dying? I am an okay pilot and can usually get 4-5 kills before I die which I think is pretty fair. I don't think you should be able to stay alive in a heli for long periods of time and wrack up dozens of kills like BF4 no matter how good you are.

Exactly. Air is op as hell atm. This nerf is warranted.

@zakrocz No, I am saying that I think in general a pilot being able to get 4-5 kills with a heli before dying is pretty fair. A 5-1 kill ratio is pretty good.

They should nerf it and reclass it as a light vehicle instead of an air vehicle. It's flying sheet metal. It shouldn't be capable of being used as flying tank like it is in this and previous games.

You want to dictate how many kills a pilot can get in one life by the number you get in one life.

I bet you'd be perfectly happy if tanks and choppers all self destructed after a player got 5 kills!

What does an average player need to be able to achieve before our winged brethren will accept that balance has been reached?

@Trokey66 That's exactly what he is saying, not my problem that you can't see where his motivation stems from.

Experienced vehicle players should not have to be limited in how long they can survive because your team can't get its act together, and either take them out or force them to retreat.

It's not hard for infantry in 2042 to take out choppers or force them to retreat.

Just 2 players can achieve this just like 2 players can take out a tank or force it to retreat.

Without a scoreboard it's hard to gauge but I am seeing choppers, tanks and scouts blown up all the time on every map.

So obviously some players know how to deal with them.

This is not BF3 with invincible choppers and jets.

I mean they are helicopters... and they are shooting missiles.... So yeah I think they should be strong. The argument is that they are so easily countered by AA, So I don't see the problem in littlebirds atm, again the catering to the casual is fine and will always happen.
The real problems how busted the stingers are, zero lock time after first launch (between flare immune cooldown), sometimes the first missile relocks from Narnia, and sometimes you kill a 100% air vehicle with one Missile.
My question is if 4-5 is your standard in vehicles, what is your infantry standard? Cause my infantry goals always 4-5 or I feel like I did bad, 4 -5 kills in vehicles is what I usually hope for each time I strafe a capture point honestly (I consider myself well above average)

The Little Bird deserves the nerf it gets with having the anti-infantry rockets. It´s absolutely brainless to give it those, while the Minigun is actually more than capable of shredding infantry and anything else that isn´t a ground vehicle. I already replaced those rockets with the AGM to go for tanks and such. I got enough practice already to reliable kill infantry with the Minigun. And it feels more satisfying to kill with that.
The only thing that has to be adressed is, that the flares should not be bugged anymore. It still happens quite a lot, that an incoming missile breaks through the flares, after they actually countered the missile. You will still get the hit in that case. This should be really fixed. Otherwise, choppers don´t need any more buffs. The pure quantity of them is already pain enough for any ground unit.
