DRAUGR is weak.
Im an avid jet player since bf2 and have always loved to fly instead of walk, i was very excited for the new bomber we are getting only to find myself quite unsure on what their idea was. As of now ...
They said they are looking into fixing various issues including the spawn bellow ground glitch and the fact that the Kerosene bomb has a much smaller blast than the visual and lacks any lasting fire damage over time.
They are also looking to see how to make the countermeasures less useless.
My input for the countermeasure part is that it is not the countermeasures that are the problem
The problem is that it is a STEALTH jet. When I looked up stingers and stealth in quorra, what I found was that "Most stealth designs feature both radar and thermal signature reduction." This can translate ingame to either longer lock on times on the stealth jet (which has synergy with the jammer countermeasure) or shorter lock on ranges on it.

@UP_HawxxeyeAs I predicted. Knew it wouldn't be too long before DICE buffed this thing because the pilot sweats were crying. I reckon they'll change the CM so that infantry can't lock on either. DICE totally uturned on their original design for this vehicle if they do. It's meant to be fast and deadly, but fragile. Not fast and deadly and impossible to kill....Look forward to yet another OP air vehicle...
I do not think that if they make the bomber take a bit more work than THIS to be taken out means it stops being fragile. They are not changing how much damage it needs to be taken out.
Less we forget, this thing also currently fails at being "deadly" outside of its JDAM bomb which is a very late unlock specifically for these poor poor ground vehicles.
They got to somehow make it worth the time one spends with it.
Some clever people have been spawn camping the enemy DRAUGRs by hovering near the enemy jet spawn with Pondhawks + stingers, which incidentally have better countermeasures than the stealth bomber.
Alternatively they could go All-in on the DEADLY aspect and make the stuff it drops being at least half as potent as a V1 from BFV while still leaving it so that even a single guy with a stinger can completely shut it down without counterplay outside of the cloaking gimmick
Right not this thing is less potent and dangerous than a single infantry while having the cooldown + spawn number limitation of a vehicle.

I thought this vehicle would act more like a "call-in" or "kill streak" perk - like the V1. It should be fairly deadly, but ultimately fragile or have limited use to a couple of strafes and that's it. If pilots want to fly around raining death from above, with little anything on the ground can do about it - then that's far from the picture DICE painted for it.
The videos I've seen of it so far seem to indicate that it can be pretty deadly with the right loadout, possible to strafe infantry easily with the canons and take out a Wildcat in a single strafe using the canons and AGM. All that is needed is a MINOR tweak to the kerosene bomb. Don't mess with counter measures at all - it's meant to be a glasscanon, not yet another gunship....

I think it was a mistake to market it as a stealth aircraft when it is anything but stealth as far as stealth tech is concerned. Stealth tech is all about reducing radio and heat signatures and this thing can be locked on even while it is cloaked.
Like you said, it was marketed as a powerful but short lived unit which sounded like the scorestreaks from BFV.
I also found a video that saw someone using Line of sight to block missiles for an entire round and reached like 74-4 with a HE cannon and Kerosene loadout. But after enough observation I decided that the other team did not try hard enough to go against that Stealth thingy.
If I was there I would be trying to use either the Wildcat cannons (this dude was running a setup that is weak vs vehicles) or I would use a pondhawk to get closer to his side of the map.
I consider it my sacred duty to make sure that anyone farming my team is taken down in any way possible.
