DRAUGR is weak.
Im an avid jet player since bf2 and have always loved to fly instead of walk, i was very excited for the new bomber we are getting only to find myself quite unsure on what their idea was. As of now ...
Played a bunch with and against the Draugr in proper matches, and man...
The JDAM is basically an upgrade over both the NNEMPs and AGMs. What is the point of these two?
The passive radar usually activates late, giving people a pretty short window to react, and many often don't. Or they do, but netcode. The big splash radius also makes sure that even if you do react in time, you might still take good damage, especially if it's one of those times when the JDAM decides to not veer off.
I have to wonder, given in my experience NNEMP deals 35 to tanks, 45 to wildcats and 55 to Brawlers, and the JDAMs deal 65 to tanks and 85 to wildcats, do the JDAMs 1shot Brawlers, or RAMs. At least it seems they're affected by APS.
The CIX Valravn makes you as invisible to enemies as it does to yourself, i.e. it doesn't make you invisible at all. You shimmer, brightly. It changes nothing, I could see someone using it from the spawn screen. I really wish this trope of "partial" invisibility in PvP games would die, this never works, in any game, ever. Either you're completely invisible or you're not, there is no inbetween, people will see you. If you want it partial in some way, make it affected by distance or whatever else... Not this.
There is no sound for when you're hit by the HE 20mm in a jet. Your health is just suddenly low, surprise!
The lack of flares, the game's poor netcode and the inability to distinguish lockon rocket types makes the jammer very very bad. Being aggressive is INSANELY risky, especially with how the Valravn doesn't help. The JDAMs' passive radar further encourages a crazy boring playstyle of spinning in a safe side of the map permanently, dumping bombs at 600m+ away enemies who can't do anything about it, and maaaybe going in for a few infantry kills.
The JDAMs are very OP but the regular jets still feel like an overall better choice given how like most aircrafts they have the ability to attack everything (as opposed to basically only ground for the Draugr) AND have great survivability.
