Unfortunately not. Not in the gaming sense anyway. Servers activate and deactivate based on demand. Assuming it's like BF5, if the player count drops below a certain level, the server will stop accepting new players until it eventually shuts down.
There is seriously no plan to create dedicated 2042 servers for this game? Tf? Man great game. Will die within a few months is this isn't addressed. You can't play in a match with more than 4 of your friends.

If they would at least give us a server browser like BFV had it would go a long way to reducing the frustration levels with BF2042.

EA want full control of the Game so they can decide when you must switch to their new games they release. Not giving us the power to Host our own servers on our own hardware , would not benefit them because then we could keep the game alive for years to come. they need to make those Profits you see, its all about the Money. Years ago I said giving over the power to the Company's was a very bad idea. Personally I think they should give us people that have bought the game the ability to host dedicated servers , because ONLY the people that live where EA servers reside benefit , they don't have the latency or connection issue , because the servers sit on their Door step , while the rest have to contend with all the * because we 100's of miles away from the servers. Like I have always said it all comes down to GREED. We game these game company's the control they have today , by still supporting them even after giving us the big middle finger.
