@CantGetRightSmells like more of Tom Henderson’s poppycock and balderdash to me.
Highly suspect the source given pending litigation that would need an out right admission such as this to succeed.
That said if it is true then further supports my statements concerning trying to use old games. In this narrative it’s the use of the Frostbite engine but the principle is the same.
And…
I was not privy to any beta and more specifically what players were telling them during that phase.
Again all sus to me…
Edit:
is ok soon as I read the name I was lol Tom “horsefeathers” Henderson
- ST1GUS4 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@k1u73 I can confirm that concerns for the game were posted in the forums at both the technical play test and beta stages, nothing sus there 😉

Other than the part where it states all player feedback was “ this is my battlefield” and “battlefield is back” etc.
Now if that was the case and the beta feedback was just that then that falls in line with why I suspect the game is disliked so much.
I have to wonder if Halo Infinite retained its user.cfg and to what extent mouse scripting has been contained as opposed to BF 2042’s approach.
At any rate the very player feedback during beta would explain any misconceptions from previous game player base.
However Tom Henderson has proven to be extremely non reliable by literally making up stories and the flags are every where in this one.

Lol they are blaming Halo? A company that chose to delay their game by a year because it wasn't ready?
That must be nice to have a developer/publisher care for their players more than their own pockets.

Tom Henderson is usually right about everything regarding this game. Why no trust?
- Psubond4 years agoLegend@Doogla not from what i've seen. someone posted a list of his predictions along with his confidence in them. he was about 65% right and a lot of that was stuff that people could just figure out on their own. the guy makes his money on drama from this game. he needs to stay in the spotlight to keep making money which is why i don't trust him

"the work from home environment that many in the industry are currently faced"
The terrible design choices have nothing to do with working from home.
"It was then revealed that Battlefield 2042's bug count ratio got to "historic levels for a DICE game""
Then why would you release the game? This is absolutely mind blowing.
"On this, Miele continued and said that Battlefield 2042's launch and patches meant "the game was stable" and "the early critical reception was good"."
Is this a joke? This game is incredibly unstable, and runs horribly. The critical reception was far from good. This is beyond delusional.
"However, according to EA, things took a turn, and that turn was clears throat, the surprise release of Halo: Infinite multiplayer."
So it had nothing to do with the game running horribly, the awful design choices, lack of content?
Andrew Wilson's comments from EA's latest quarterly earnings call, saying that "DICE historically is very good at adapting games in live service, connecting with players, connecting with the community and getting the game to the place that the players expect."
YOU ABANDONED BATTLEFIELD 5. How delusional is this? How did nobody question this? This is the most mind blowing thing I have ever read. He said that with a straight face? This shows such a strong delusional disconnect it isn't even funny anymore.
This game will never reach it's potential with these people flying around in fantasy land and STILL, after all this time, after all that's happened, refusing to blame themselves and their own terrible decisions.

"DICE historically is very good adapting games in live service" - EA is effective at canceling Life Service(s) then.
"It was then revealed that Battlefield 2042's bug count ratio got to "historic levels for a DICE game" - Even a quick launch on a random rig would prove the game to be useless.
"The surprise release of Halo: Infinite multiplayer." - wow, again another title is responsible for BF2042 demise. Gameplay and design choices, lack of content, no vision except for mimicking other titles, the scope of issues have nothing to do with BF2042s utter failure this time??? Sure.
"Players saying this feels like Battlefield, Battlefield is back, this is my Battlefield, so we had to embolden the team" - a total made-up BS story. These phrases are literally taken from the marketing campaign at the BF3/4 launch, period. I wrote before on the forum about "YOUR BATTLEFIELD experience in the context of rental servers" and "Battlefield is not back babe" or sth like that... I can`t be bothered to even look for that.
Another phantasmagoria was created by EA to keep the sales going. Congratulations.
- 4 years ago@Sohsuh "terrible design decisions" is a subjective statement. If you don't personally like the game design, then you are allowed to not play the game and play something else. Not every game has to be designed specifically for you, or anyone. Anyone who is mad at the game because it isn't what they specifcally wanted from the game is being entitled. People SHOULD be upset with the bugs and issues with the game from an objective standpoint.
- Sohsuh4 years agoNew Ace@OneHitUntilDeath They are objectively bad design choices.
Do you realize there is an extremely overwhelming amount of people, A MASSIVE AMOUNT, so big that the game is literally dead, that hated all these absolute trash design choices that in no way whatsoever represent battlefield.
What planet are you living on?
Because if you had any clue you would comprehend the FACT that the design choices they made were terrible. Wake up. If they were good then they would have more than 2000 people playing the game right now.
How delusional can some of you be? It's just beyond reality at this point. Like holy.
