EA Anti Cheat Is Useless - Asia Region

I'm a long time Battlefield player (since BF2) and I am sad to say that the game is in a disgusting place right now. Do EA even give a rats *rs* about stopping the cheating and associated malarky going on??? I Seriously doubt it based on the current state of all current games - BF 1, BF V, and even BF 2042!

I'm based in the Asia region (but English originally) and for the last few years I've been playing between BF 2042 and BF V (I can't play BF 1 because the cheaters are just too rampant here)

I was really hopeful that the 'NEW EA ANTI CHEAT' would have a positive impact on reducing the number of cheaters in the game, but alas, they are more aggressive and prevalent than ever before!!!

There is not a single DICE server that you can go to over here - mostly Singapore & Japan based - that hasn't got someone in the Spectator area spamming the chat channel with nonsense symbols (I guess it doesn't show Chinese characters) with links to their cheat websites. This makes in game communication impossible as they post every 10 milliseconds or so.

These websites they advertise (I checked using a Tor browser to see what they were doing) Have cheats listed for EVERY SINNGLE EA (AND OTHER) BF GAMES!!!

There are now players running around with crazy cheats, some of which I have seen and recorded AND REPORTED VIA THE INAGAME MECHANICS - Which also DOES NOTHING!!!

  1. Speed hacks - They run around like the flash, making it impossible to get them.
  2. Redeploy hacks - Makes the entire server redeploy, even their own team.
  3. A shield hack - Yes, one cheater I shot even had messages come up on screen saying his shield had been damaged!
  4. unlimited ammo - firing way more rockets, grenades, dynamite or whatever else, way more than they should have.
  5. Aimbot - pretty self-explanatory this one.

I am sure there are more hacks they use but these are the ones I have seen and recorded evidence of. I even shared a short video on my YT channel showing one hacker doing some of these.

Now, I understand, it's not easy to prevent hacker companies from making these cheats, but surely some human level intervention by EA would significantly reduce this, with them actively checking reports and banning players, and when I say ban, I mean MAC ADDRESS BAN. not just account ban. You ban their account and they just buy another one!

It's only $3 dollars for the game in China!!! One cheater in a chat I was on said such, just laughed at what a joke they think EA is and said "if I lose account, I just buy another one!"

Maybe even setting some server rules around the amount to times people can post in chat channels before they get kicked/banned from servers would be a massive help.

So please, PLEASE EA - Get off your backsides and start to do something about this. IT'S RUINING THE GAME FOR THE REAL PLAYERS!!!! ESPECIALLY IN ASIA - OR DO YOU REALLY NOT CARE?!?!?!

@VOLBANKER_PC Watched a Jackfrags video on this. Eeeck! This could literally destroy the online multiplayer game ecosystem, even on Console.

I think the 'cat is out of the bag' on this issue. Expect the problem to get much worse as cheat companies exploit this. Depressing.
  • I reported a player, I think it was last year, who was abusing a bug on Argonne Forest to become invisible.

I recorded him while spectating and the evidence was crystal clear: You could see his enemies look around, puzzled, when people died right in front of them. Some started shooting around them to see if they could hit the invisible guy.

Fast forward to the other night… and guess who I ran into on a BF1 server, playing happily with his clan.

EA pays lip service to the importance of anti cheat.

Edit: I included a link to the videos (Youtube) in the report to EA.

  • Every single game... chat spam and at least two hackers. mostly under level 50 with a ridiculous KD like 120/2. it's SO obvious.

You cant tell me they cant run a basic scan to see such low levels with a score experienced players would struggle to achieve?

Even seen a level 500 speed running and aim Botting, still playing today, showing its not just new accounts... all levels.

They are just doing nothing and they don't care. I'm surprised this threat is even alive with how they shut down conversations about it.
Punish the legit and support the hacks instead.

I guess no one will see this and ill get banned.

  • I would love to just see that they are doing something about these cheaters. It's not just Asia Region. Every other game or so there are aimbotters in there. I keep reporting them but next few days I still see them pop up. Can't people be auto-banned or autokicked something after an x-amount of reports from several people? Or can someone from EA please explain to us what you are doing about these cheaters? Because I get the feeling that we are being ignored.

Yeah, it's a mess right now. The Anti cheat is not doing much if anything. Hopefully the add a secondary Anti cheat just to make it harder for the cheats.

  • @OskooI_007 I had to look up computer vision AI aimbots on Google because I’d never heard about it before. Oh man, that’s depressing.
  • I think EA cares about cheating in their games but they're powerless to stop it. The same is true for all game developers.

Currently our best option for a cheat free gaming experience is to play on console with PC crossplay disabled. Unfortunately computer vision AI aimbots are starting to show up in console multiplayer games as well, but I believe anti-cheat measures like Ubisoft's MouseTrap can stop them from working on console.

Even monitor manufacturers are building AI wallhack cheats into gaming monitors now. It's incredibly hard to be a competitive multiplayer gamer anymore. Most gamers probably think they're losing because the other person is better than them, but sadly that's usually not the case.
