I hope Dice bring back the AA on the LAV, I literally used all the time and got a lot of helis.
@Natilla4Real they most likely will, they kinda said it's been taken out till it's like re-adjusted or something.

For those without a Twitter account, from the Battlefield Comms twitter account:
"We've just rolled out the following changes to #Battlefield2042:- The 20MM Flak on LATV4 is now disabled until further notice. Pending further balance changes.
- CAV-Brawler will not be available for use in All-Out Superiority due to an unforeseen issue.
Expect to see these items reappear in a future update once we have addressed the above issues regarding them. Thank you for your ongoing feedback!
Update: The 20MM Flak Pod for the LCAA Hovercraft is also temporarily disabled and will return in a future update once balancing concerns have been addressed. Thanks for your patience, see you out there!"

@RanzigeRidder2 Hopefully, I understand removing them if they're having unintended affects against infantry until fixed and I hope that their ability to deny air space to aircraft remains unchanged as this was what made the time spent sitting in a recon vehicle on an objective worth it. And it's not like they had the same range as the AA, they had about a quarter of that range.

QUESTION....Are any of you lot that are complaining about buffs/ nerfs / base campers/ spawn killers and OP weapons USING VOIP and playing as a squad?
Battlefield is a TEAM game and unfortunately SOFT CORE is too soft !!....Get your Mic on, find a decent squad and work together !! you'll enjoy the game much more,
If you want a balanced game get yourselves into Portal and look for a well balanced Hardcore game. I'm not talking about any of them that boasts anything over 100% because by definition that's impossible. Also, the 1 shot servers are there for the kiddies who don't like vehicles, I took a brawler for a drive and was destroyed by a 44 magnum. Pointless servers where EVERYONE CAMPS.
In conclusion. If you're upset or annoyed with the game at this late stage in it's development then it may be YOU that is the problem.
- 2 years ago@turtlebeached Yes, I use VOIP, but most players do not use it, especially console players and I do toggle between party and squad to ensure I can communicate with the squad.
Not complaining about game as a whole, but taking away the 20mm AA Flak for the LAVT and Hovercraft - which is the subject of the discourse. Air power in the Control game mode is overwhelming.- 2 years ago@KOT-RottenDeslok I agree it was the wrong move to remove. The nightbird is my favourite vehicle and my LAT V was my favourite vehicle for defense against choppers. If players weren't just 1 trick ponies and seen the picture from both sides maybe they wouldn't complain and get things changed that make sense.
On a different note the word FAVOURITE has been underlined like I spelled it wrong. Can you rectify this so that the youngsters don't start adopting American English, after all, this is where the language originated.

Of course we're using VoIP and playing as a Squad. It's not a skill issue, it's a game issue.
If somethings imbalanced or broken, using VoIP or playing as a Squad ain't gonna fix it.
There's a been a myriad of weird balance changes regarding AA's and Aircraft since Season 1 that have nothing to do with teamplay, if anything those changes were against teamplay.
The SOFLAM has remained untouched, the Dart Gun was nerfed for some reason. The Lock-on ranges were buffed ridiculously and because of that Flares remain as potent as ever, instead of buffing lock-ons, flares should've been nerfed. Rao was never buffed after the class change.
I've literally posted proof that team support gadgets are inconsistent. There's no argument here, and people should not be surprised that players use what's most viable.- 2 years ago@S3SSioN_SoL The nightbird isn't unbalanced and if they're bothering you, a squad of AA missiles will soon sort him out. Communication and teamwork is required to solve any problem. You have all the tools needed at your disposal in the portal, no limitations on squad specialists and all gadgets available in most servers. Softcore servers are where those weak pilots live, don't be just another one of their stats.
As for the lack of VOIP, you can make your own squad now and get your friends together so I don't understand your problem.
