EA servers in China for BF2042?

Hi EA/Dice,

I recently moved to China and I'm having so many issues connecting to offshore servers like Singapore and Japan. High pings and packet loss all around (180 ping and 50% percent packet loss). 

I was wondering if EA was going to open local servers within the Chinese mainland for the release of BF2042.

Would very much appreciate some answers regarding this.

    We have no info on what Region Servers will be available in BF2042.. I guess you will find by yourself in Beta soon.

    EA/DICE didn't said something about Server Regions yet so lets wait and see... 🙂

    Hi @Mceedj11 ,

    Agreed, as BF2042 has been allowed to be commercialized within China, then hopefully EA will see the advantage of also setting up dedicated servers for- and within mainland China!

    Despite the regulatory allowance of the game, then all the internet traffic is intensely monitored and especially when you go beyond the country borders you have an additional state controlled firewall to deal with.  Causing that high latency and increased packet loss.  I have personal experience from both Bejing, Shanghai and also observed the huge difference in HK from before and after the transfer to China in 1997.

    Both the servers located in Japan and in Europe are simply not up to the task of serving a good gameplay experience for players within China mainland.
