What visible improvements do you consider the 4.0 update has brought to the game? Why - how have they changed your game experience?
What do you consider still needs to be improved in Battlefield 2042? Why - how would this improve your game experience?
HOLY CRAP, in 400 characters?
- 4 years ago@Adamonic That's an impossible question to answer in 400 characters : |

Think of the following as potential future official experiences in Battlefield 2042. How interested are you in each of them?
One vs. Many Mode (Similar to “juggernaut” game types in other FPS games, this free-for-all mode awards one player a super-weapon and upgraded armor. Whoever kills this player receives the super-weapon and armor. The only kills that contribute to score are those achieved using the super-weapon.)
Squad Rush Mode (Teams are split into Attackers and Defenders, maximum 4 players per team. Unlimited tickets are supplied, and there are no vehicles. The objective is to arm and destroy a Station, with an explosive charge.)
Grenade Golf Mode (Each player receives a limited number of grenades. When a grenade explodes, the player who threw that grenade is teleported to the location where it exploded. The goal of this mode is to use as few grenades as possible to end up in the goal location.)
Air Superiority Mode (There are two teams of up to 24 players, all of whom are flying jets or helicopters. They must take control of three control points in the map by clearing the skies of any enemy pilots nearby. The team running out of tickets first loses the match.)
Squad Conquest Mode (This mode pits two opposing squads against one another as they try to capture and hold all flags. The team that depletes the others’ tickets to zero is the winner.)
Bounty Hunt Mode (In this free-for-all mode, achieving a kill streak makes players “wanted”. “Wanted” players are automatically spotted periodically and non-”wanted” players score more points for killing “wanted” players.)Grenade Golf Mode? This has to be a joke right?

If it were up to you, you’d prefer future Battlefield 2042 content to be about…
Legacy features and modes from past Battlefield titles OR Novel experiences, not related to past titles
Fewer, larger experiences OR More numerous, smaller experiences
Dedicated close-quarters maps OR Close-quarters experiences within current maps by modifying gameplay boundaries - Adamonic4 years agoLegend
How do you usually choose what to play in Portal?
I choose one of the experiences in the recommendation tileI choose an experience through the Portal Server browser (search for custom servers/experiences that others created)I use both of the above in a relatively equal measure - 4 years ago@Adamonic Man, why do we have to choose from "legacy features and modes" or "actually new things"?
- Adamonic4 years agoLegend
Portal Questions:
How satisfied or dissatisfied are you with the Portal Server browser (searching for custom servers/experiences that others created)?
How often would you feel the need for the recommended experience tiles in Portal to be updated?
Have you personally created or hosted at least one Portal experience in Battlefield 2042?
Thinking of the Portal experience(s) that you host, which of the following is usually true?
What sources of information do you / did you use for getting instructions or help on how to build Portal experiences?
Think of a potential Portal spatial editor. For example, a spatial editor might allow creators to add, remove, or change the location of gameplay elements like flags or M-COMs. Creators could even reposition walls, crates, etc. or edit the underlying terrain.
What would be the most desirable features for you in such an editor?
- Adamonic4 years agoLegend
How interested would you be in a server rental program for hosting persistent servers?
What additional server admin features would you want to have in Portal?
How important are AI-editing tools in Portal for you personally?
What specific AI behaviors would you like to be able to modify?
If you had to choose between the two items below to be developed in the Portal editor, which one would you choose?
Enhanced logic/ gameplay expansion
The ability to place elements such as props, cover objects etc.
None of them is of interest to meWhy did you choose: (Enhanced logic/ gameplay expansion) (The ability to place elements such as props, cover objects etc.)
How would your opinion about Portal change if in the future Portal received only new logic and gameplay functionality without additional legacy content? Your opinion would be…

That was it.
Interesting to see where this goes. I guess this is the "next feedback loop" lol.
- Adamonic4 years agoLegend
No worries, I told them to read their own forums! Having responsive CMs goes a long way in changing the perception of the game and community.
- 4 years ago@Adamonic Yeah...given the specialist loop is MIA and a month late, it seems like maybe the "feedback loops" are one and done.
You are a scholar and a gentleman for taking the time to post all this, thanks dude.
This is objectively good stuff in that they're hopefully seeking feedback they'll actually listen to (vs. rejecting/ignoring early technical test feedback)...but at the same time man is seeing some of these questions for a AAA game 7 months post-launch with no announced plans for the future of the game ROUGH. Seems like DICE may be so quite because they're basically scrapping everything they had planned and starting from scratch again...which is a double edged sword. - Adamonic4 years agoLegend@edgecrusherO0 yeah man, no worries. This deserves visibility. I just can't determine if they are using this to kill the game or actually consider the feedback and make changes. You are right, some of those questions were pretty interesting for a AAA title this long after launch. The one about the patch was for sure. Like how would they act differently based on the answers?
- 4 years ago@Adamonic Nah, not to "kill" the game. But it honestly reads like they've scrapped most of their overall plans and are looking for a "reset" based in part off this feedback. It jives with the earnings call comments about Vince having to retool DICE's internal development processes of sorts to "focus on getting to the fun, fast" if that's what he and DICE have been focused on while DICE has been not communicating anything over the past month or so.

So they have done this before, once for the beta in October and it looks like in early December after the launch:https://twitter.com/TBGclan/status/1466486766819581956
It didn't seem like they acted on any previous surveys.
- 4 years ago@Adamonic Man...they keep asking about recommending the game...are they like, not paying attention to literally any feedback in the forums on social media?
This is a hilarious question for them to continue having ask. Aren't they supposedly tracking feedback posted online? I get a lot of the other more specific questions but like...good lord if they have to keep asking this then are they just hoping they'll eventually get the answer they want? Because that's what it seems like, "No, the players are wrong! If we just keep asking then maybe the players will give us the right answer." - Adamonic4 years agoLegend@edgecrusherO0 it is really bizarre. I have had to do a few surveys for my work and outside of the general demographics questions, every question's answers drive some type of decision, otherwise, it is a waste of time.
No way are they still sticking with the "legacy features" label and placing the onus on the player. How insulting

HOLY CRAP, in 400 characters?
400 characters is quite hard lol. I thought it said 400 words. .
Match making and squad selection
matchmaking needs to carry over your team to the next map and maps need to cycle without repetition. officials servers would be nice as well.
individuals and clans need to be able to self organise through better squad management.
these changes would bring significant enjoyment to the game as people would be able to play properly.roughly 400 I think. .

@EA_Atic apparently I took to long reducing the number of characters of why I rated for the first question and once finished it said thanks for taking the survey. I only got to rate and give the reason why for the first question
- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+@fragnstein It was just a short survey this time around, with the rating and then the comment box afterwards.
