@CantGetRightAgreed. Specialist is what it is. I like the freedom of it. I have forgotten about the Class System, it’s old. As far as weapons, well let’s be honest most people find a gun that they like and just stick to that one. Example I never use the AK or M5 strictly SFAR for me. On BC2 I stuck with the M16 3 shot burst with grenade launcher. There is really no need for 50 weapons.
Dont forget a lot of us paid for 4 new specialists already

@Psubond they could address this point by keeping the current AOW and leaving it as is and creating a second non-specialist class based AOW with weapon and gadget restrictions in order to please those who like the current Specialist formula and the larger core player base who dislikes the Specialists overall.

The Community is currently split between breakthrough and conquest in AOW and between AOW and Portal overall. The Community is also split between 2042 and those who dislike 2042's current vision and have returned to BF3/4/1/V right now. One thing DICE can't afford to do is keep the status quo and ignore their player base or this game will be cancelled early like BF5. If DICE eats some crow about misreading what we want (despite the deafening feedback from the community since BF1 as to what we want) and tries to please both player bases then there will be far more players playing 2042 making queue times drastically reduced for all modes in the future and everyone wins.
