"EA/DICE Dog Tags are only for EA/DICE Employees/Devs"

Unless you kill a dev in-game! I couldn't believe my luck in BF4 when I did a melee attack on a player, took his dog tag and lo and behold - A FREAKING DEV TEAM MEMBER! I couldn't really play for the rest of the round after that.

I wish we can wear such tags after taking them upon killing a dev!

  • Nothing is confirmed for BF2042 dogtag rewards, so continue to keep a lookout! Hopefully we'll start hearing more about rewards and promotions when the Technical Playtest starts.

Probably not a EA or DICE one since these ones will be something unique for only the employees that work at EA/DICE.

Maybe there'll be something similar coming as a "Best Community In The World" dogtag we had in Bf1, or as emblem in BFV. Which we may get through other different ways than this chat here. But nothing has been said yet.

Usually as i remember from previous Battlefield launches, you probably get a new Badge here on your profile that mentions something like "active during the launch of BF 2042" or so, but nothing ingame tho.

Anyways, nothing has been said yet. If there will be something maybe it'll be mentioned somewhere along the way towards the Games release.

Hopefully there'll be something. We don't seem to have heard whether they'll be a Road to Battlefield 2042 yet so fingers crossed that comes back.

  • Hello @DiceUprise

EA/DICE Dog Tags are only for EA/DICE Employees/Devs. Also EA Play Dog Tag was not announced. EA Play is online this year and Its not an event that people can attend. 🙂

There will be some exlusive Dog Tags like in other Battlefield games. No info on them yet.

@Its_Travis_199 If you mean the Answer HQ profile badge, there is one out for opening a thread during the beta. The badge is called "Breakthrough".

When it comes to dog tags in general, I feel like the game has, so far at least it seems, taking a step away from the entire aspect of knifing. I would love to see the return of dog tags as pictured in the game trailer if I may add, but so far I've only seen 3 knife kills in-game, 1 with the "animation", and those where all done by me. it is ofc hard to see everything happening on a 64vs64 gamemode but those are the only times I've seen knife kills. hopefully they will ad dog tags in the game on launch as it was hinted towards in the cinematic trailer where you can see someone getting a knife kill and taking the dog tags

@ILostMyMedic i know there has been a new badge added, simply for participating in the Battlefield 2042 Beta section of the forum during the Beta, not only for opening a new thread.

Maybe they'll add another one for participating in the general 2042 forum section during launch of the game. We'll see 😉

About knifing, well it seems to be a different system with "kill cards" instead of the usual kill feed as we know it. So not sure if Tags willbe a thing at all, or if they will maybe not for taking them directly when knifing.

But who knows what they'll still change on the way to launch 🙂

@gruntbrews_vicv i just played a few random matches so far and didn't really bother about squading up with anyone. And cross-platform you can't squad up specifically anyways, you can just meet randomly on a server.
