@CountSeroLet me put it in another perspective.
You have bought and owned a car of a specific model for years and been more than happy about it.
Later on your car gets old and you want a new one.
Why not buy the new model from the same maker that has been advertised.
You go to the car dealer and see the new car. (game trailer)
It looks nice and reminds a lot about the old cars but with updated features.
You decide to buy it.
But then on delivery you get a bicycle because it's popular at the moment.
Should you not have the right to ask why you got something else than what you thought you ordered and paid for?
Or should you just use the bike and hope that they will turn it to the car you wished for in a couples of years?
the comparison is a bit far away here and then compare an item that costs thousands of euros with a game worth around 100 euros
It is more like you buy a car of the same brand and you don't get a navigation, only an analogue radio instead of DAB, no automatic windows or an AC and because your old car had these feature you expecting that your new car has it also. But in the end, you still got a car.
Battlefield 2042 is still an Action Shooter with Tactical Elements like BF2, BF3, BF4, BF1 and BF V nothing more and nothing less. The different is the feature set each instalment has delivered.
And what are the trailer showing what you don’t get with BF2042? Have you played on Hourglass with the Sandstorm and Tornada at the same time? Then you have the visual and the action you see in the trailer. Same thing with the action on Manifest, I have many fights around these containers. But hey every player has a different perception.
And as I said before since the Beta a person who was interested in BF2042 should know in which direction the new game is going. Since than we all know that there where many changes to the franchise.
And if you then still buying the game and expecting more than advertised is more your problem.
Ok... I back off.
You are correct, there is nothing wrong with the game and I got what was shown in gametrailer.

@CountSero and @Stew360 You two keep up the good work, you might even get employed by EA.
I asked before, but can I please get some of those happy clappy pills you two are using ? It must really make the world go technicolor since you praise 2042.
It is YOU who is a minority here when you read the posts thus reads stats collected about 2042 and how few players are playing the game.
There was nothing wrong with the old setups but hence DICE wanted to go monetizing the whole deal changing everything possible from previous games
they lost the franchise and the bottomline is, somone on top of the food-chain in EA knows it, that is why theres someone with their heinis in slap-level at the moment.
I would expect a few people getting sacked or at best moved to DICE's local office at Minegoa island with population of 3 penguins for making this fatality.
A DEV fresh from holidays/vacation .... In my line of work no one would have been celebrating xmas before the project was afloat and working as intended including myself !
@JOGAGATYA Nothing wrong with BFV just because a lot of people dont like the era (to me same deal as in BF1) and only play modern warfare.
the general dealbreaker to me in those cases were the introduction of daily quests, I mean, are we playing WOW ?!
Besides I havent got the time to play games every day so I would end up missing out on stuff.
Missions/quests should be made like in BF2,BF3 and BF4, all in good time and some of them you had to do a certain amount kills repairs in same round which is fine, but
you didnt have to look at the list every day to finish something.

Dou you think that this is the same Engine they used with BF V?
I would say they have done many changes and upgrades since then and changing all to DX12 was a huge step.
And if programming and changing where so easy as you say than more companies had done this 😉
I don't say this game has no issues, there are many bugs, balance and performance problems that need to be fixed.
But for me another approach to the franchise with the specialist don't makes it unplayable or even broken for me. I don’t miss the classic score board because in my opinion that it was forcing the wrong kind of teamplay. Not a K/D or high points winning the round the team is winning a round.
Also, I’m happy that there is no all chat don’t miss the trash talk and toxicity.
I like BF2042 and let’s see where DICE is going with it.
Also, since the Beta I knew in which direction the game was going and the trailer for me don't shows things that are not in the game
But hey different perception, expectations and preference. Also, I’m always willing to try something new and it seems that I’m more flexible to the new approach DICE is going with BF2042
@0ld_yell0w maybe I’m more down to earth than you? I don’t wear the glory nostalgia glasses and praises good old times.
Yes I like some Battlefield more than other my all-time Favourite for Multiplayer is Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2 and when it comes to Story I would say the Battlefield Bad Company and Bad Company 2 I liked the most.
I also I had a lot of fun with 1942, 1943, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1.
I didn’t bought Battlefield V it was gifted to me but due to less time and to the fact that the playstyle didn’t catch me, I didn’t play it much.
And that EA/DICE want monetized things is nothing new and I have no problem with it.
If I like the game and I think it is worth it, I put extra money in if I don’t like it I don’t put extra money in it, simple for me.
So again, then bring fact about the number which are not assumption or glorified content creator numbers which also only assumption.
That only a few people here not have the same opinion as you are not a fact that players who like the game in a minority.
Maybe players who like the game are playing it and don’t want arguing with “people” like you.
It is most of the time that people who like the game are silence than people who don’t like the game.
Also, In your line of work? Wow luckily that here in EU most country have laws related to work and holidays.
See you on the Battlefield

@CountSeroYou're kind of victim blaming here- DICE set this BF up to be "ahead of schedule" "128 players" "the test was an old beta, the game will work great on the day" etc. Even with the negative beta feedback they went ahead- most companies with such a negative beta feedback would have delayed to review the target market. As a result it came out broken, and they knew it.
It's not the BF fans fault they are complaining, it's DICE for knowingly selling us a broken game (again). If you want to cut them some slack, then great, enjoy the broken BF7 they will sell you next year, because they rely too much on customers 'cutting them some slack' every time now.
My personal gripe is not the broken game, it's the VERY poor communications to the fanbase about how it will be fixed- that doesn't take a Dev working over Christmas, it takes a PR guy doing basic 101 customer care steps to ensure that the message has been received and will be acted upon. The first message from DICE should have been "These are all the issues we have received, we will look at them and get back to you [insert date here] with answer as to what we can do for each issue". This sort of PR doesn't require a Xmas fix, it requires a committent to coming back with answers as to what is possible (not fixes).
