Not sure how to interpret your last post. Do you in the USA and even in the more expensive LA region consider that a high salary?
It is actually a quite important role and demanding job that takes a lot of experience and competencies to do it well. But that is of course all depending upon as well on how the rest of EA/DICE studios looks at this and what empowerment this role is getting from upper mgt.
In Europe you would not get much firepower onboard with such a lowish salary offer for such role...
I for one, would personally like to see it getting a much much higher level of priority for EA to get the EA-game communities up to a higher level of socializing and meaningful enriching engagement with their customers/gamers!

Maybe these many paid days off and paid sick leave is required for the person's own mental health to stay somewhat sane despite all the offensive abusive they might risk being exposed to? Xanax is not cheap either in the US. :o)
