The purpose of this thread is to try to coordinate all our efforts into one main thread and to finally get our message through to DICE that MM is just not working.
If you want change and would like to see MM replaced then be sure to make your voice heard by posting your support.
DICE can you please help all players who are currently unable to join games due to Matchmaking problems.
You need to prioritise this so players can get to play the game they paid for. !!
On this forum there are many threads where players are asking for a proper Server Browser / Persistent Server system to replace MM which is simply not up to the job for reasons spelt out on these threads :

MM is just an unnecessary frustration which is causing players to spend hours searching for a game or are unable to play at all.!!
Even players who are lucky enough to get to play are constantly complaining about having to play the same map over and over or don't get to play certain maps for days.
It is evident that BF2042 can not continue with an MM system which is totally inadequate and is destroying players enjoyment of the game.
Anyone having these MM issues should add your weight to this thread daily and keep it at the top of the list.
DICE you really need to take urgent action to resolve this major issue which is driving players away from BF2042.
Yep this should probably be a top priority if not the #1 fix Dice/EA should be looking at in the shortest order.
The dwindling player base has pushed this into 5-Alarm emergency territory.

Yep totally agree it needs doing URGENTLY.

It's really the only way we can make DICE realise how many players want MM replaced.!!
This should have been done before the game launched, I don't know what they were thinking and i didn't see this type of play in the Demo

Im all in for a serverbrowser as i believe it can solve problems that most of us are having.
Hopefully a serverbrowser may safe you (DICE/EA) from losing a large playerbase...and for those who already left deciding to come back and give it another try.
Time to reach out and touch and be the triple A company you always were.
Ow and don't forget to fix the other problems also.

Yes like you I think it essential that this is added, and hopefully it may yet save the BF2042 player base.
I have every sympathy with players being unable too find games through MM and of course, should be looked at as a priority but this seems to be region related.
Perhaps DICE has listened to one of the major complaints on here and included a region/ping lock in MM.
A return to a Server Browser would negate that and we would return to "why won't DICE put in a region/ping lock because the game is unplayable with out of region players cheating!".
Of course, I may be wrong but we don't know how MM works exactly.
All I'm saying is, be careful what we wish for.....

I don't mind playing against bots, at this stage, I just want to play a game!

Players should not have to put up with endless matchmaking and the longer this goes on the worse it will get as more and more players will leave as a result.
DICE needs to sort this urgently or there will be no player base left by the time Season One arrives.
- @RayD_O1 Yep we need an AOW server browser. I'm fed up of starting new rounds half full and by the end the server is full of real players and then the MM splits us all up again and I end up joining a new server that is half full again!
The real players are obviously there but this MM route keeps splitting us all up.
Plus I want to play all maps in rotation just like previous games instead of playing the same map several times in a row.

Imho MM is currently destroying the whole BF2042 experience.
It has added so much unnecessary frustration that could be avoided if DICE would listen to the players feedback
on these forums.
DICE need to act on this SOON.
- @RayD_O1 Same thing today. I actually like the new weepy mission but I have yet to even get the last one because I couldn’t find matches lol
- @RayD_O1 Agreed. This is more important than a scoreboard. BF has most of its fun playing with friends. The game is about teamplay.

I'm in Australia and I can't even MM into breakthrough anymore! It's conquest or nothing now. ☹️

As I have said many times, this situation is just not acceptable and MM needs to be replaced asap.
All players should be able to play the game they paid for and choose how they play it.
We all need to keep pushing daily for a proper Server Browser / Persistent Servers system until this gets sorted

Remove MM and apply server browser.... This will allow to find server with people, correct map rotating and more important to play with group of friends ... which is impossible if there are more than 4

You are absolutely right MM is just totally wrong in so many ways and needs replacing urgently to help save BF2042. !!
I really hope that DICE revert back to the server browser system .
I strongly believe MM is dragging BF2042 down and denying many players access to the game.
I agree that matchmaking should be on the list. Big group of friends and gamer communities draw in a lof of players. But if they cannot keep their groups together they move on to other games where they can stay as a team.
a) There is no reason for communities to play as long as they cannot get more then 4 players in a team right away. The game party only allows for 4 players. If you have more than 4 players your group gets split up for the next round. There needs to be an option to keep your group together by maybe unlocking the party to more players. Then matchmaking can build squads based on the existing MM process. But the party stays together.
b) The idea of the server based matchmaking was to ensure a more leveled playing field. But I see as many one sided games as before. Maybe rather go old school and do a regular rotation on the same server which would also allow the groups to stay together. This would eliminate the need for a)
c) There are the same maps played over and over again due to the players being assigned to random servers every round. Maybe rather do a map voting or a rotation to make sure players get a mixed of maps and don't get stuck on the same maps.
@sabersunDICE need to listen to the player base who are asking for a proper server browser / persistent servers like we had in previous Battlefields.
DICE please don't ignore the fact that players are not happy with MM as it is not up to the job.For many Dice releases now they've been trying to push us away from our attachment to server browsers. I can only assume it's because they want to create a persistent experience across PS/Xbox/PC. Perhaps it's also about tighter control over the player experience. The problem with this is that it also is a game community killer. Sometimes I want to play with the same group (not just squad) of players regularly.
I still go back and play on my favorite BF4 Gun Master server as do hundreds of other regular players because we are familiar with each other and enjoy playing together. This kind of interaction and dedication simply won't happen with the current 2042 match making model. Sure, they try to have this functionality in the Portals, but it doesn't really work in such a limited environment.
Server browsers and persistent servers are a must, even across platforms.
