During the holidays, I leave it on matchmaking and I fell asleep on the couch, when I wake up, still matchmaking lol.
I'm a fan of Battlefield series since Battlefield 1942 and I bought the Ultimate Edition, darn it lol.
There are more of these threads appearing daily. As the player base has dwindled the MM problems have become more acute.
In my opinion MM is not viable and needs replacing to allow all players access to the game they paid for.
@RayD_O1Played earlier and player count around 1,700 both matches 32 vs 32. Now with player count about 2,300 cannot get into match at all.

That's really weird. I suppose the only logic you could maybe apply is, earlier when you were on playing the 1700 players included a fair number of players from your region.
Since then players from your region stopped playing and the 2300 went up because of players from other regions started playing, therefore MM can no longer find you a local match.
Does that make any sense. ?
Either way it still doesn't help you unfortunately. ☹️
It makes perfect sense. I thought the same. But we didn’t buy the game to play when the game decides it wants us to play right. Let me play with bots

Yes you should be able to play it as you choose not as MM decides.
