- @MZR_926 That's what they do though. The way tankers drive there's little hope to repair, not to mention the complainers waiting to nerf anything considering 'camping' (repairing) or the speed of repairs themselves.

Nerf anti-vehicle infantry. Nerf Wildcat. Nerf TOR.
Why? What problem are you trying to solve?
Didn't vehicle mains already get their victory with the re-introduction of classes? Less launchers on the Battlefield. Now that's not enough and we're trying to de-fang the engineer class?
Be transparent.
- Man_iLoveFishing3 years agoSeasoned Ace@AngrySquid270 Hah, I can confirm that there are not less launchers. To clarify, I get even more locked than pre-classes 😅
- MackTKau3 years agoSeasoned Ace@MZR_926 It used to be that engineers were a separate class to anti-tank. They got shotguns (although in BF2 Anti-Tank got a shotgun as an expansion weapon), mines and the repair tool.
It was pretty rare they were almost never used by anyone who wasn't a tank driver (or someone as a dedicated repair *, which itself was very rare except with clan members working together).
They they got lumped into the same class (like assault & medic, sniper + spec ops). - Col_Larsen3 years agoNew Ace@Man_iLoveFishing LOL no - now everyone play the engineer class - as expected ! When I launch a recoil rocket at a tank - it default reveals my location (not sure it has always been like that) - and 3-4 of those + 20 % damage pr shot - very often kills me. So right now I prefer to play Maria Falck and use smoke nades to get out of trouble - way better for me and my K/D.
- Col_Larsen3 years agoNew Ace@MackTKau If engineer class only had shotguns and pistols no one would play that class and tank drivers would be in heaven ! I do not mind this new class system (old system) - had to change play style - but all in all I like it. Also the new map designs - more cover vs before.
- Man_iLoveFishing3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Col_Larsen instead shooting use c5? If you want to lonewolfery. Otherwise I respect your decision by smoking and moving on, that's what I do.
But in air, the most played song is beepbeepbeep, doesn't matter in what direction, unless you find some wall for hiding. - Psubond3 years agoLegend@MZR_926 it wont stop engineers from killing vehicles. We don't do it for the exp. There are easier and faster ways to get exp.
And lets not pretend on the reason you want range decreased on wildcat, you are always posting about things that make it easier for air vehicles. No need to hide motives and claim it is something it isn't.

I think the points for repairing (on the scoreboard) should be increased by 50%, or the points for kills should be decreased.
Also, it's very boring to support Wildcat and TOR camping at the base spawn, so their range should be decreased.
@MZR_926 The current Engineer class is the amalgamation of two different classes from Battlefield 2, the anti-tank class and the engineer class, which is why their role has different functions for the team in the same class. The BF3/4 assault class was the amalgamation of medic and assault and the recon class was the amalgamation of sniper and special forces as well. I suspect the reason that 6 classes were merged into three while not touching the Support class was to encourage people to play the less popular supporting roles more than the kinetic roles by merging a less popular class with a more popular class. I totally agree that supporting team actions should have additional XP to encourage team play actions.
Regarding spawn base shenanigans, that issue seemed to have started in BFV and continued from there. However if a wildcat can engage from spawn or another safe area away from the battle that would be a smarter tactic than to drive an AA asset into the thick of battle and get destroyed. If the wildcat has chosen to remain away from the battle just stick with your squad and repair tanks that need your direct support at the front.
