When using her syrette pistol I used to shoot the ground and walk over the dart to self-heal but I found out that if you hold the D-pad, im on PS5, to the left an animation will play and she will shoot it into her forearm to self-heal. Has that always been in the game form the start or is that something recent they added?
It's always been that way (on PC use just hold the gadget slot key, I think it's the "3" key?), but it is usually more effective to just shoot it into the ground or a wall if you're next to it because the animation seems longer when self-administering.
It's always been an option but it's so dang awkward to do on PS5 I just shoot the ground

You also get heals when people run over your darts on the ground.
I must admit that it never even occurred to me that I could shoot myself in the foot or shoot an object and walk over it, which is odd given that I knew the above.
