Hello @EA_Atic I am having the same issue here.
Started playing yesterday and was very surprised when I spawned after dying that my fire mode stayed locked in and didn't reset after my death.
It never was a thing in previous BF so I hope it's a bug because it is VERY annoying to check at each respawn on what mode you are and that gets you killed.
Also I am having a similar problem with the attachments on the gun, it stays in previous config. Maybe that one is set on purpose ?
It is non sense for me because after dying you restart with a new gun theorically and should start with it's default configuration.
Thx in advance.
i prefer that the fire mode stays where i last put it and not reset to default on every death. i wouldn't consider your setup staying the way you put it to be a bug. if i set my gun a certain way i want it to stay that way until i change it

Agreed.
I would want it to stay with single/burst/auto if I had set it that way. At least the icon for checking your fire mode is more visible/accurate now than it was months ago.
- ATFGunr3 years agoLegend@DaKrawnikIt's a not a bug, it's a feature. I think the vast majority of players want their weapons to stay in the state they set them to, including me. Sometimes I accidentally change it, and then forget to set it back after I respawn. In that moment I wish it would have reset, but that's my error both times.
There's also a bug I sometimes get with the LCMG while switching on bipod and then I cannot get out of single fire mode. Game refuses to move to full auto.
Only way to fix is to respawn.
Correct. Thank you for your reply. I apologize for being late to respond.
It should reset to AUTO FIRE like past BF games, because it makes sense. Single-fire is situational, not the default.
Single fire doesn't do any good if you're spawning somewhere else, or have to change your play style, or most importantly, you spawn and need auto-fire IMMEDIATELY. Single fire on an automatic weapon is situational. It's not something you just run around with.
Every other game since at least BF3 has been like this. Not sure why all of a sudden it's being defended if it was something players always wanted....

I think we currently should consider ourselfs lucky, that the fire mode stays like it is when you get revived, it already is bad enough, that you always switch to the main weapon, when you get revived.
I expect any change to the behaviour increases the risk to reintroduce the ADS bug again. - therealstorey5 days agoSeasoned Adventurer
This, whole annoying, yeah lets just change the way we and every other games handles this. WTF?
