This IS an issue which can be very easiy resolved for all console players by simply re-instating the second "cross-play ON/OFF" option that was present (but not active) in the BF2042 beta test version.
There were TWO crossplay ON/OFF menu options during the beta test but the second one (which would allow console players to exclude playing with PC) was removed for the final release version of the game.
Cheating is indeed an issue in this game and the level of use by PC players is not something that the console community should have to put up with.
PC players choose to play their games in an environment where this has to be accepted.
Many console players choose NOT to play on PC for this very reason (I'm one of them).
I have a high end gaming PC but I choose to play on console after spending time as a BF admin on one of Australia's largest gaming ISP's.
I spent hundreds of hours actioning cheat reports and viewing video evidence (oh how I could wish for the good old days of the BF2 battlerecorder) and it's actually a lot more prevalent than many are prepared to admit.
Obviously the PC community don't want the console community of BF2042 split off as it's currently a pretty easy farm for them against controller players.
They'd also then have to play against ONLY PC players and the issue would become a lot more concentrated in PC only matches.
Enable the CONSOLE ONLY CROSSPLAY option.
I'd happily wait a bit longer for a match if it meant I was able to avoid PC crossplay.
There's definately enough PC players to populate their own matches (I had a full game just this week where there were only four console players and the rest were on PC).
Console players should not be FORCED to play against PC as is currently the case if we want to "try" and get into a 128 player match.
@OP....try the PS4 version of BF2042 on your PS5......it's often a mutch better experience where you don't get the "here we go again" dodgy gameplay that you often come up against when playing crossplay with PC.
Console players....give the PS4 version a go....it's a much better experience. - Answer HQ (ea.com)
Don't be surprised if your post gets removed as it's a touchy subject that is unlikely to be addressed.
I would imagine there are instructions to avoid doing anything that will reduce the already low player numbers so don't expect any diligent action to be taken to address the issue of cheating as a whole.
