Yay!!!! Can't wait to squad up with just my crew!

This you can do now already. It's just that instead of making room in your squad for your friends you have to create a new squad and move over to this one.

What is missing is to be able to join with all friends and not just a few and having follow you while you are joining.

Usually we have a party of 4 joining a server, then calling out in Teamspeak as soon as the map is loading for the others to follow. But more often than not this still results in those that follow to end up in a queue while the first 4 are on the server and can see -- pressing TAB -- that on 64 player CQ our side usually has 36+ players or on the 128 player variant there are >64 players on our team. Basically never the other way around. Not sure why Dice has to wait until they have all players and then are not even able to distribute them evenly.

    Part of me wants to simply celebrate us winning back yet another "legacy feature"

    The other part of me is thinking of a good way to utilize the old Thanos meme that goes like "You Couldn't Live with Your Own Failure, Where Did that Bring You? Back to Me"

    We should not had been having to slowly drag the full Battlefield experience out of DICE one tiny bit at a time.

    So now what else is still a "legacy feature"?

    1. Platoon support
    2. Server browser
    3. Team management/switch
    4. third party servers with plugins for managing the server.
    5. Spectator mode
    6. Minimap enlarge button
    7. P.I.P. for the aircraft 1st person HUD
    8. Airfields for aircraft to spawn at (with automated AA protecting it)

      Personally I would love to see them all get added to Bf2042 and remain in all future BF releases.
