There is no new cap, but the maximum you could gain with normal progression speed per day was limited for those modes. Then progression slows down to a crawl.
While I kind of understand for this to be the case to stop XP farming servers (not sure why you want to prevent users from grinding XP if they want to, but that is at least a reason).
But for Solo matches, this is plain out stupid. These modes are 'generated' by Dice and follow the official rules. There is no way to artificially enhance the XP gain other than killing AI and capturing objectives. Not sure who ever thought this to be a good idea to cap XP for those official solo matches as well.

@ForumUser Thanks but we got a new / additional "XP cap per minute" on Solo/Coop and Portal with the last update. I've already asked @EA_Leeuw in #26 and #44 here:

Furthermore I've seen many Chat comments from other Players in the meantime who has noticed that and are wondering about it so we definitively have a new cap. Anyhow, it's kind of funny to see "what fixes" are most important for DICE.

If they really imposed an ADDITIONAL cap then this would indeed be a * move I'd say.
But IF this was the case, then is was 100% intentional as those caps need to be enabled/configured and there is no way this happened by accident.

I decided to try one of the chopper XP farms after hearing people talk about it. Used to be 50K xp/round [not too shabby] but after piloting a chopper for a full round it "met cap" at around 15k XP. I truly don't understand why it matters if people want to spend their time doing any form of a match to level up/unlock items/etc outside of AOW let them.
So much for "play how you want" or whatever their tag line was. Now it's "play how you want *****" with several large asterisks.

@Anobix Thanks and it is easy for everyone to reproduce on Solo/Coop or "Epic Rush - Redacted only" Portal server where I see it every day as it is my favorite atm. Yep, meat grinder :D but as a "Metro-Lover" I really enjoy this map.🙂
