Pedantic I know and as much as I enjoy playing this but
I only recently started using this launcher equipped when driving a tank and when I use it can’t help but to notice the reload animation , It looks like they throw the thing away then get another FXM

It's not pedantic. I usually enjoy small details like that and I wanted to comment on this too.
In reality, on weapons such as the stinger, you would detach and throw away the tube, but keep the guidance unit, then clip a new tube onto it. Don't remember what BF4 did, but I assume they got the animation somewhat correct there or I would have noticed it too.
We need a strela, as well, for the russian side. Looks like the weapon availability was rushed. Seriously missing the RPG. A staple of most armed forces due to its effectiveness.
@KineticYeetSquadI see cheers for the insight , well they use to just remove it from the screen momentarily, reload and it returned - there was no chucking the whole thing away…
While the tubes are technically reusable, Stingers are generally disposable in most video games; not sure if throwing them away is easier to animate or not but yaeah, it would be neat to see a more fleshed out animation. If you want to nitpick, they should really be used by two people like belt fed machine guns :P

as I say I preferred the simple reload animation of BF4 stingers… my brain struggles to comprehend the throwing bit
@KineticYeetSquad you say about the Russian weapon - Actually would make sense to see Russian specialists against the Americans etc…. I just played a round of Orbital AOW we were US , next match orbital again we were Russia… instantly I thought wtf…. Why am I using US specialists again when I meant to be Russia against US , abit of a mind f
Like the geeza on the front cover of this game alludes you into thinking normal classes are playable , well ok - Be good to see some simple Russian soldier classes and American British classes or what have you (similar to what portal has , I mean why not just use those models?) play along side the specialists to make plot atleast make sense when you are actually Russian side etc …in otherwords it still needs to feel like Russia is at war with America vice vers coz at moment it’s US specialists vs US specialists basically , sorry to pick holes the strange thing is when your US - they have actually added ambisonic Russian voice lines coming from the normal specialists on the other team throughout the BF like

you droped the stinger, igla and the javlin in BF4 no reload animation you can hear the drop.... it is kind of same as in BF2042
maybe watch some youtube videos ?
@CountSeroMaybe read the posts and find that I have ?I don’t want reload animation as such as I’ve already said - and you say watch some YouTube videos yet totally disregard the fact page 1 has two comparative youtube links , listen it’s simple it looks odd… BF4 they move it away from view with reload sound gives impression that its the same one as he brings it back. I think your misunderstood because they are not alike at all - not that they need to be , but make it more in line with 4 to keep the illusion up…

Not sure why you can’t understand that i simply prefer the animation in BF4 , end of story , whether they drop it or not you can’t really tell that there which is 100% the point
The FXM is based on the real life FIM-92 Stinger, which can be used only once. So throwing the used launcher away and simply grab a new one is the way how you "reload" your Stinger.
