Gadget Customizations

DICE gives us a zillion ways to customize our guns and dozens of ways to customize our vehicles.  Tinkering around trying to find that perfect recipe can be a lot of fun and quite satisfying when you find something that clicks for your playstyle.

But gadgets haven't been invited to the party yet.  I think there's an opportunity here that'll not only add some depth but also solve a few problems.

One of the problems is Lis's TV missile - too good versus armor, impractical against air vehicles.

Instead of a one-size fits all option I'd like to see some customization options that are balanced for specific uses.  For instance:

Heavyweight missile: 50% range, 80% speed, 100% damage versus armor, 200% damage versus air.

Lightweight missile: 150% range, 100% speed, 25% damage versus armor, 100% damage versus air. Special ability for a proxy detonator, or perhaps a manual detonator that projects some pellets towards the target (think flying remote fired fligerfaust).

End result should be something that's reasonably balanced against either ground or air and not poorly balanced against both. Obviously those are just numbers I pulled out of my hat and any final balancing would have to be vetted in play testing. 

Other things like the spawn beacon could trade off between what we have now and something that's louder with a flashing light that'd allow any squad leader to spawn on it.  Or a stinger that can be dumbfired.  Or an ammo/health pack that has twice the radius, but half the speed.
