@sk1lld Couldn't agree more. The game feels absolutely awful especially on console. I play one or two games and then I'm outa there. I'm not sure why everyone gives them a pass and thinks that the game is "improving". It's probably because Dice was saying they were committed to the game and this was enough to convince them that the game was getting better.
@Ironhead841 Very true and @Ragnarok made a good point that Battlefield hasn't felt good since they went over to AWS servers during BF1. I don't think it's a coincidence that the game has felt really bad with BF5 and now in BF2042. I'm really starting to think that the servers have a lot to do with the abysmal performance with the last 2 iterations.
Yep, couldn't agree more, the AWS servers aren't up to the task apparently.

Getting shot around corners or bullets not dealing damage in no way make me think cheater. Those are netcode issues. Even teleporting or invisible characters do not make me think cheating. Those are all probably netcode or software bug related.
Cheating is when a player constantly has awareness of every other player on the battlefield and no risk of rushing in without checking corners because they can see the entire enemy team location via ESP/Wallhack at all times. Or insane accuracy with SMG on every engagement, out-of-whack HSK ratio, tracking targets through walls (non-paik), etc. There are big differences in symptoms of a cheater vs. netcode related issues.

We cover that ... when we talk about cheaters it is people beaming 100-200m away not missing the shot with a holo sight. Also anytime you step out of cover or spawn the same person is beaming you instantly. No indicator you are being spotted while hiding and they go directly to you. One of my personal favorites are the ones that as soon as you jump out of an air vehicle they just turn around and beam you out of the sky.
- UP_LordPlumber3 years agoSeasoned Ace@hollamf I'd really love a video of someone beaming you beyond 100 meters with a holo sight please

The best explanation so far of how cheaters normally use their stuff. Because if people use how many rage hackers they seen in 1000 hours as a yardstick, the game is almost cheat-free. And there is a Christmas sale on gaming-chairs and BF is mentioned quite often, so more "netcode" problems can probably be expected.- Mackstan713 years agoSeasoned Ace
For me it's simple: cheaters?...hmm maybe. Totaly broken netcode/hittreg/ttd/ttk etc.etc?...one big YES!!!
