so yes that’s the primary concern and that’s where my opinion is completely different. Infantry do not have to deal with anything aside from the occasional little bird that flies in and kills 2 people before dying. In 2042 infantry don’t get punished at all. Helis are usually busy shooting each other and attack heli is really not very good. Compared to previous titles control of the air means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING dice kind of just gives us toys to play with and even puts respawn cooldowns to make sure we share the toys.
truth is there SHOULD BE some kind of punishment for air control, jets SHOULD be able to pushing infantry and tanks when they gain control of the sky. The constant respawning of enemy vehicles should keep them from having a significant impact just like in previous titles but right now once you take control of the air you gain nothing for it. Truth is there’s a ton of infantry that don’t know how to fly vehicles and don’t want to learn therefore don’t want air vehicles in the game AT ALL. let’s start with that and to be frank these are the same people that are responsible for this dumbing down of the air role. The classic turn battlefield into cod people.
