Guns Sway After Reload

Guns sway way too long after you complete the reload animation. I've been using mostly AR's lately and I think most, if not all, have this behavior.

You reload, watch it go through the entire animation, aim down sights, and the thing is still swaying about. On maps like Redacted where you have to constantly reload, it becomes apparent how unnecessarily long the animation is. There's like a second after you're done reloading that NEEDS to get cut from the animation.

  • @RaginSam On a lighter side, I’ve been playing with the Rex and every now and then the player will twirl the revolver around their finger in a reloading flourish. I’m ok with that 😉

Stuff like that is great! Destiny had some great reload animations for Hand Cannons. I miss it.

@RaginSam You’re not wrong about the reload animations, they do take too long. In fact, the majority of the animations take too long. Takedowns, vaulting, stepping, getting in and out of vehicles…. Everything is overly complicated.
  • I've noticed that it's usually Vault Weapons. At present, it has been noticed that these 3 weapons will have very serious reloading delays. M16A3 AEK-971 RPK-74M.

  • @RaginSam I agree, this has bothered me for a very long time. The weapon shouldn't be swaying at all after relaoding as you should already have positive control of the weapon while reloading it and transitioning it back to your firing position.

It's weird, it's not every single time, but frequent enough to be super annoying. Sometimes I think it has something to do with how spread is randomized. At times, I can beam someone effortlessly 100m or more and just stay completely on target with ease. Then other times I'll put the reticle center mass, and as I'm firing the gun, the reticle jumps like three feet to the side randomly off my target, which was roughly 100 meters out.

I always hated the load in animation as well, it feels like your character plays with the gun forever at times.

Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this.
