@Adm_of_Missouri10 11 12 13 are the maps I'm excited for.
That's the bc2 and bf3 maps 😛I honestly don't know enough about the base game maps to pick my favourites.
Kalaidoscope and Discarded might be the only maps i will be excited about. Orbital was the 3rd smallest map and it was so bad. Don't want to play empty maps.
Kind of excited for caspian bordard and noshar canals. But already upset, because we got that sector nonsense on them now.
god bless pre-bf players😂i love previous maps too

Hi @Adm_of_Missouri ,
We haven't even played on most of those new BF2042 maps.
They have to earn their rights first in real battle before even being considered worth much.
We did play a bit on the Orbital Map and honestly it was disappointing. At times you spent minutes to find any enemies to engage with... There were not enough vehicles (EA acknowledge and promised us more for the launch, so lets see). And the buildings had near zero demolition. Even the most fragile shed you could find was appearing to be built of titanium steel and could not be bulldozed over by you in a tank, leveled by a jet bomb or blown to pieces by your C5. Hey hello, is this not supposed to be Battlefield???
So my hopes are that BF2042 maps like:
- Manifest may give us the intense Close Quarter Combat scene we need for that experience.
- Renewal will give us the classic old BF experience from Caspian Border, with epic vehicle play. Ground and air, while offering great coverings for infantry to challenge them.
- Breakaway is probably the BF2042 map that I have highest hopes for giving us a great gaming experience. Because it is vast but having many intriguing navigation/hiding routes in the dynamic Antarctica environment, with its ever shifting moving snow drifts and mountainous caricature!
But right off the bat, then the all-time classic BF-maps that have already proven themselves in real battle are the top contenders:
- Noshahr Canals, (BF3) great intense battle on that harbor map. There is something for everyone on that map, for both infantry and vehicles!
- Caspian Border, (BF3) again an absolute all time classic, especially for the vehicle warfare fans
- Alparaiso, (BFBC2) infantry jungle action and amphibious vehicles. What is not to like!
- Arico Harbor (BFBC2) again intense infantry harbor map, battling from building to building supported by vehicles.
- @Adm_of_Missouri Now this is a guy that’s planning ahead to crush the portal server game.
I wish your server the best - TrasteTh5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Adm_of_Missouri I think Manifest will be the first I spawn into.
Don't know enough about the new maps to say. Orbital felt empty despite 128 players but I'll most likely be playing Breakthrough more than anything else. And on that note I'm hoping the portal exclusive maps support breakthrough from launch cause I'd like to see how they handle breakthrough.
- Fringerunner5 years agoSeasoned Ace@CyberDyme I'm really hoping we can use the map shape tool to get the CQB variant of Noshar for 32 players in portal.
Outside of that, all i know is what map i *won't* go straight for in core after the hours put into the beta and tech test. I wish I could say Zavod 311
Something about Zavod that just hooked me. It felt always great to play.
