I actually support the OP. It will be awesome to have the option to play in Hardcore mode. Makes me appreciate every sound/visual effects I notice in-game. Is that shadow an enemy behind the rock? The footsteps that I hear around the corner.. are they allies? Not being able to "spot" enemies or see them on the map is a sweet spot for players who want to take it to the next level of immersion and IMHO should not be removed. For crying out loud - it's just an option to play like that on a server that has this mode on. Live and let play.. man.
