The amount of people wanting Hazard Zone to be a separate free to play game is baffling to me. What are people expecting free things to be given to them.

Seems like a great deal!
It's already confirmed that "Hazard Zone" will be part of the base game and therefore will not be free to play!
...and as you just said, having all these three things coming with one game is not a bad deal at all.

But at the end it doesn't reall matter anyway as things will change according to feedback from many different perspectives.

I agree! And with Portal you can make your own Battlefield with your rules. We never had something like this. All-out warfare + Portal + Hazard Zone for €59,99 / €79,99!
I think it was a rumour about a f2p Hazard Zone. It got it's own life after the rumour and people believed it was true.
