Hazard zone

Well us hazard players have been patient not complained not cryed like school girls. Been here since day one supporting the game waiting through ridiculous wait times for a game. Still ruled the zone everyday since launch. Now it's f off we not gonna support the mode. Now I want my refund. And I've been here since bf2. Been faithful to this jacked up game since launch. And hazard is starting to get more players now. Why not fix the game give people a chance to come back then see how it does. Instead ur gonna caterer to the people that left the game not the ones that have played everyday. B.s dice

@bonez513 Firestorm 2.0 is gone and your sad? you should've known better that DICE / EA, didn't care about this mode.

Henderson also noted that Hazard Zone has less than 400 players across all platformswhich ties in a prior claim where he stated that, developer DICE stopped tracking player statistics in Hazard Zone within the first week of its launch because the number of players was so low.

It is a pity that Hazard Zone isn't going to be supported with new content but, and I know this isn't really a silver lining, at least the mode will still be there to play. At least that's my understanding right now. That said, it will make it much harder to unlock the associated achievements and so on as the player numbers potentially dwindle further.

At the same time if a mode isn't popular with the playerbase then I can understand cutting support, as it saves on resources and means efforts can be put towards different parts of the game.

@Dedzigs This is encouraging. EA will not be wasting developer time on this mode. Hopefully, there will be more focus on the main game.
  • @bonez513 I'm glad HZ achievements were the first few I went for when the game released as I knew the mode would end up to be another Firestorm... Such a waste.

Had a similar feeling myself @UNL1M1T3D_P0W3R  but put them off rather than knocking them out. Ah well c'est la vie.

  • @Dedzigs Except Hazard Zone is NOT Firestorm 2.0 because HZ is NOT even a Battle Royale.

I do not know why this is so hard for people to get.
Battle Royale has only 1 goal - Be the last team standing . Thats it . Nothing else.

HZ goal was grab objective objects and try to extract. That sir is an extraction mode and not a BR .

Bring in Firestorms map and allow the current era player models and weapons on it like you can do in Portal and make it a BR. Let people play it for free . I bet money it brings in a ton of players. Because thats all Firestorm needed the first time, that and some actual support after launch.

@poohty_tI don't think they are referring it to Firestorm 2.0 as a second attempt at a BR. But a second half-assed, red-headed-stepchild mode that didn't fit the gameplay but was a waste of resources due to the cost/gameplay/etc.

It could have been successful, if it was a standalone, BF: Hazard Zone [or something] F2P title that would get people into the game similar to Warzone. From there they could be focused on all the specialists, gadgets, customizations, quips, and all that crap that most people didn't want for a regular BF game.
