And stop being dramatical about infantry not having enough counter options. They do and some are very good at it, it's called detication, like I've deticated most of my time piloting.
There are games where you can't get out of main base due to lockon and Lizz spams and constant hacking. And let's not forget, wildcat that has 800m lockon distance, if heli gets close to you and you are not aware, sadly its gonna be checkmate.
Atm this series has most anti air weapons than ever bf history had. Bf4 attack helo gunners seat was way more op.
I have a hard time finding the fun when playing anti-air in 2042. It's mostly not playing the objective, camping, taking low probability shots, stalemates, running out of ammo. For every kill against a great pilot you probably died several times while distracted.
I question if I'm perhaps better off just playing the objective and accepting the farm.
I'm doing a chore so others on my team can have their fun. If you fail then it's a 'skill issue'. If you succeed then it's just spam and bad game design.
Infantry AA is too dependant on 'home run' shots or herding cats to form some coordinated kill squad.. I wish infantry had some option that'd apply some reliable chunk damage - a dumbfire mode for the stinger perhaps. 35-40dmg against NB with a small proxy detonation radius, something similar to the Desert Combat Stinger if anyone remembers that.

@AngrySquid270
We had the railgun rifle for that.
Then they nerfed it cause they probably got concerned about what happens if 4 people focus pling at a heli..... ☹️Now the only one left is the NTW which is a lot less versatile.
I would say they should buff the damage of both the NTW and the Railgun rifle vs light armoured aircraft (aka not gunship)
