Helicopter vs. Infantry or Light Armored Vehicle

I don't understand. If you are not playing, why bother wasting my time? You are trying to get point straight without even giving a try. "I don't have to, look up internet, job done for us". I mean, "look, thousands of videos with nightbird" tried with specific weapon youtube search? I bet, thousands of videos will come up. Tried any other vehicle". Try youtubing tgm kills. You get tens of thousands. And these nightbird videos are successful videos, means weak AA and why would anyone upload failed attempts? Look for streams.

This thread can be closed since its not going anywhere. Arguing with people that are not players makes no sense. And i'm offering to play with me or with any other buddy to just show, what it actually is. I can go on ground with you and see how what's your actual suffer.

I am convinced by this topic that "there is a lack of anti-aircraft guns in this game." You seem to be arguing whether NBs are OP or not, but I think the lack of sufficient countermeasures makes them more of a threat. A light helicopter like that should be able to be shot down with weapons mounted on a light armored vehicle.

thats not true, skill is needed to use the AA options properly

its the same like infantry vs. infantry. no more countermeasures needed vs nightbird. rather learning how to use the ones available, or in general learn how to counter helos from the ground. its pretty easy actually.

when theres a good pilot on the enemy team, take aircraft, learn aircraft. even if the enemy pilot is better. he can be annoyed and prevented from his devastating effect on the game

 @Gurz1019_MP well thats also not true. aircraft can be shot down or damaged badly by TGM from Lis, as you mentioned it can be stingered by all engineers except lis, it can be hacked by rao, which disables it and makes it hard to maneuver, the rao hack also provides a fast lock on for every rocket launcher and the stinger. aircraft can be shot down with the sraw from engineers. finally it can be shot down by a single rocket from infantry rocket launchers namely m5 and rpg, which isnt that hard if the aircraft is close to you, especially when its unaware of your position. though uncommon and difficult but perfectly possible is also mining or c5ing aircraft when parachuting.

lises tgm proves here to be the most accurate and successful option

as well as the rao hack is pretty useful

the combined infantry AA options + the AA capabilities from ground vehicles and finally enemy aircraft provide enough counter options

the measures will be only effective if played well

Hmm...I'm by no means certain, but I think an underbarrel launcher might be able to destroy one (if a medic has one equipped and the NB is close enough). 

@Gurz1019_MPwhat I mean with played well is for example u wait until the enemy helo is hovering, especially when its fighting another helo, the helos have to be pretty much still in order to fight each other and they will fight each other to prevent dying. thats when to shoot the lis tgm at it. ur mate in the helo will be thankful

@Gurz1019_MPits common to get shot down by m5 and rpg in a helo, sometimes the helo gets shot down five times per game by m5s and rpgs

@Gurz1019_MPthese AA guns or how u call them, would not make much of a difference because pilots will adapt to it. after some adaption time, its gonna be almost the same or even the same

@Gurz1019_MPlight vehicle shooting at attack helo is like saying. "hello kill me, Im only a few rockets for ur attack helo". wouldnt change much

I think the problem is that the 20mmFlak equipped on light vehicles is too useless. I think we should make the burst burst not at a fixed distance, but when the warhead detects the vehicle, and extend the range to the flight altitude limit of the helicopter. That way anyone can easily aim at the helicopter. It will not have much firepower at long range because the bullet speed is not that fast. Try not to burst against infantry, and try not to exert more firepower than necessary.
