I de-installed Titanfall after few hours after it came out, BUT Ripple is really DICE LA, those guys I have time for, they fixed the netcode on previous BF and gave us 2042 Portal.

If they cant make a decent new BF after all the last titles, after all that has been said over the last 10 years - they will never be able to do it. At its basic core, it should be very easy for them to really make a version of BF in 2021 that excels. 2042 is a * and they have to realize that. I do think change is good to keep things fresh. But really, they need someone who GETS BF. Im pretty burned out on 2042 already. Maps are so boring. Nothing happens. It would be nice for once to not be on this board and moaning. I want to say the opposite, how awesome the is, like when i played the first time Siege of S in BF4 and the tower fell. Everyone was in awe!

The hyperbole is not comforting. Saying things like “we’re all in on bf” and “battlefield universe” should elicit excitement,
but the execution of the bf2042 launch as it is, compared to what a five year child could deliver, is so off it makes you wonder if any coherent thinking went on at all.
Any coherent thinking at all could have really set bf franchise up for lots of excitement, and promise. Attracting new players and bringing in new game modes. (Just like they’ve done with 2042).they could have built confidence in the player base by delivering a new engine, new graphics to the legacy bf4/5/1 fan base.
Starting of with scoreboard, server browser, more classes rather than specialists. Supported and moved existing platoons and clans over to the new platform.
then they could have brought in new modes of play, scenarios and missions that could have centred around specialists and so forth.
instead they alluded to bf2042 being a new and updated version of BF4/5/etc and instead delivered a very contentious new vision for the franchise that upset a significant number of players.
Ego clearly overriding andy sensible approach to redefining the bf framchise, and ignoring the communities feedback during stages even before the beta. Ego, Leading to those questionable design decisions.
If they really are invested in building a new BF universe, then seriously, they couldn’t have done it in a worse way .
I for one am not convinced. And am going to have to wait t least a year before I spend any more money on this game. I’m hopeful for updates to address the issues. But I have zero reasons to believe they intend to build a game that I’m interested in. That bf2042 should have been, but simply isn’t.
