My gut told me this would not be a traditional BF game, but more a wannabe BR/COD game, so I did not preorde. But the portal can eventually save the game. So I wait and observe. Who knows, maybe more content will come to the portal.

BF2042 and the Battlefield spirit appear to have been killed in it's crib already years back...
All the missing functions and bugs are obvious now because the majority of the EA developers involved are literally BF newbies!

Well for me the terrible reviews the game is getting are justified, the game sucks imo as battlefield games go, the weapons suck, a sub is the best weapon, the maps look like a 2002 game, the guns spray and punish good aim. So they basically took a less polished version of battlefront 2 and made it a 1st person shooter in a battlefield game. Sticking with cod and bf5. Did I say this game blows. If anything it was made for the boomers, zero comp.

Agree, It makes sense when you think about all the things that are missing in the game that were in previous BF games
What you are seeing now is the biproduct of new developers coming into the franchise and reinventing the wheel to their own tastes and likes.
