Teamwork has absolutely zero to do with Specialist vs Classes debate. People are either going to work as a team or not. Specialist and Classes are just tools to be more effective.
@RaginSamnot really....
while the designation "assault,support and recon" are still in the game the general teamplay is at this point and time rather slimmed down.
in every BF game you could identify the class from almost any distance and get a general idea of what you are facing, now you can not. this is due to opening up weapon selection not the operators per say. in BFV for example i could identify from the class who has what with him. since gadets were tied to the class. in 2042 i almost never see anyone give out ammo, angel beign the exeption, i have seen McKays prone 500m away from objectives with the bolt actions or "hiding" in places onyl he can reach with his "wannabe spiderman" slingshot. in BFV (i played about 1800h) i have had games where i alone revived more then an entire 128-player lobby in 2042.
and if we do follow your logic why even have either. might as well just have the loadouts wth random characters attached like COD. i agree BF has not had teamplay as its core in many many iterations but 2042 has in my opinion almost made away with it. the most "fun" i have had so far was farming spawnareas with the hovercraft on breakaway. one way to fix the problem atm would be to limit some weapons. E.g have teh Assault specialists not have access to sniper rifles and DMRs, have the Recon not have access to SMGs, have the support not have access to Snipers and LMGs, have the defensive ones not have access to Bolt actions. gadgets are a bit more difficult because atm the onyl real choice for me at least is do i take the ammo box or the AA-launcher....
the real issue iswhy bother having the base definitions of assault, support etc. if a big portion of players are just going to play sniper rifles and roleplay Bob-Lee-Swagger
- RaginSam4 years agoSeasoned Ace@X-Sunslayer-X Most fights happen either so far out or so quickly it doesn’t matter what class the enemy is. This argument that it’s helpful to be able to identify your enemy is dishonest. It doesn’t matter. I see an enemy, I’m going to shoot them.
The ONLY counter to that is maybe the enemy being recon and having a beacon somewhere. Even then, it could be just a guy acting as a spawn point.
It doesn’t matter and doesn’t effect the core gameplay loop.
