"High Fidelity Objects Amount" Affects Footsteps?

Please could some developer (who really knows what this setting does) clarify if the "High Fidelity Objects Amount" also affects footstep sounds? At least the current description says "...highest fi...

@FragLord I think it only reduces the quality of the footsteps.
Maybe a slight limp, or a bunion.
