Hipfire more accurate than ADS at close range?

Question

I just played a few rounds earlier and I don't know if its just in my head, but it honestly felt like hipfire is a lot more accurate at semi close range than ADS is.

I was using a controller and I think it could be the aim-assist kicking in when I hipfire, but not while I ADS. It felt like there was zero recoil when using hipfire

Anyone else notice this?

@BizzyVapingYes, hippie is awesome.I'm currently in the process of retraining my brain not to ads too much because of how good hipfire is.

@BizzyVapingI can confirm that the recoil on hipfire is many times lower than in ADS (playing on PC with mouse and keyboard).

@R1ckyDaMan19 Yeah I find it hard as hell not to automatically ADS.

Hipfire has never really been good in Battlefield before except with certain guns and even with those guns it was only at super close range.

In 2042 it seems like every gun benefits from beeing fired from the hip.

@AssariarIts weird. Its almost seems like an oversight. Like they forgot to add hipfire specific recoil.

hipfire has been nerfed into the dirt across the board since update#2, ontop of that, seems lasers are also no longer providing any accuracy bonus
