Yep totally agree, I have seen that many times too, one map not too bad next map is a nightmare, !
@RayD_O1 Could it be since we don’t have server browsers someone like myself on the west coast is put into a server in say UK? Causing just the slightest lag? I have no idea about these things so I’m just assuming.

I am lucky enough to have around 20 ping on servers but I have no idea what other players pings are on those same servers as their ping does not show on the scoreboard like in previous BF's.
Out of interest, what sort of pings are you getting yourself when you do get in to play.?
I cant describe it exactly but when i play 2042 it feels clunky (shooting, running, jumping,...)
In all prev. games it feels more nature and more traceable

I have a 20ms ping gig connection and I uninstalled it due to this absolutely shocking netcode.
Its due to players without servers in their local region being put in the closest region, they then upped the lag compensation to make it playable for them as dice call it “improved netcode” but that then makes it a worse experience for local players!
Do yourself a favour and play anything else!
It is especially bad playing with or against Sundance and Mackay. If I jump in somewhere as Sundance, I can't shoot for at least a second and I am instakilled everytime. For Mackay, I can zip around a corner see the back of player, unload 20+ rounds with hit markers for them to 180 and one shot me.
My ping is normally in the 20s, so I know it is not on my end.- @Adamonic Same here...15-20s, Other BF titles i played with 40,70 or higher with no problems. Its def not on my end.

It's definitely a problem that needs sorting asap preferably with a hotfix, a multiplayer shooter is not much fun when you can't shoot anyone.!
I really believe this stems from being thrown into random servers just to fill up matches with absolutely no regard to ping, latency or location.
At times the stars line up and I can have a half decent round and the very next match it's like I've devolved to stormtrooper accuracy.
The beauty of a proper server browser and persistent servers is ability to favorite servers with low ping and stable connections. In my opinion the only way to fix this crap is to add them, the continued silence on it is deafening at this point.

It would be nice if they surprised us though with some much needed fixes.
My ping is usually under 10 and I still have the issue of unloading on someone just to have them flip around and waste me in no time flat. Kind of frustrating.
- @Ironhead841 I’m on the west coast of Canada, always had a 27 ping on west coast servers, and 79 on east coast servers. It’ll go to over 200 for any EU based servers. Every round is musical pings, I’ll never know what I’m going to get. One round I’ll be swimming in quicksand, the next round I’ll be in the top 3. It seems to jump us all over the world to try and fill empty servers. If I wanted to play Quantum Leap I’d go find that game. We need server browsers.
Exactly! I'm on the West Coast in the U.S. and the absolute random nature of this matchmaking crap is making for a confounding and wholly unpredictable experience.
