Hi @TeiIzeitREKTor, the video you uploaded is a good example of TTD being very fast.
One thing to note, if network is good one day and bad another, it means majority of the time the routing of your network are hitting bad hubs towards our servers. (I see this in all games)

- LlamaWithKatana3 years agoSeasoned Ace@EA_Atic after patch it got even worse. Both hitreg and TTD. I died from SFAR-M in under a second from full HP. Even with all headshots (which weren't the case since it is not in kill feed) it is way too fast for that gun. And my ping below 15 most of the time and below 20 all the time. Depending where exactly servers are hosted I live few hours (in average) from em.

Hi @LlamaWithKatana, video examples of it would be great. If you have Nvidia card using shadow play can make it a lot easier

Also I hope you saw and passed the info about season badge. I'm almost level 70 but have only 602 points in badge progression. Each game I get at least one token but for the whole 4h of BF yesterday I've got 1 or 2 points of progression for badge. - EA_Atic3 years ago

My issues most definitely started after v1.0.0 that stated net code improvements for all guns.
In reality it’s made my 20ms connection feel like a 200ms connection and it’s not playable due to one bullet deaths constantly and deaths literally seconds behind cover oh and my bullets turning into marshmallow’s.
It’s very clear EA has got rid of load of servers so to compensate for players that now have higher ping the lag compensation has been increased but at a detriment to the local players game.

If its from one game to another, something else is at play. Is it high Ping in one game or is always the same ping?
I'm now not talking about TTD or TTK, sounds more like network issues if you have to have VPN to play.

He uses VPN to INCREASE his ping because with high ping you seem to have a huge advantage now.
Just as an aside: with PERSISTENT servers we could at least stay on a server where hitreg is good for one round (if it depends on the server as you suggest by adding this remark "from one game to another"). - EA_Atic3 years ago

@DuaneDibbley, I got 30-40 ping with no issue in the game and I play with high ping players every week and without high ping players, I also don't notice any difference from game to game.
It's why I ask for videos to see what is going on, helps me and also helps developers trying to nail down any issue.

/AticThat is a very interesting statement. Can you please tell us how you can check the ping of OTHER players? I am used to do that using the scoreboard, but for me, these values do not show. Is there a setting I miss? Can I enable this in user.cfg or in the settings to show the ping of all players?

You can use Wireshark, then ping flood any of the IPs that you are transmitting to.
BTW, still bad for me. Every kill is 10+ bullets. I die in 2-3 with armor on.

Clumsy lets you choose a higher ping. Which can be helpful if you have a really low ping and are getting insta-blasted by high ping players due to lag compensation.

/AticNo, it's not day-to-day, it's game-to-game.
VPN doesn't help me. It makes no difference IF I choose the fastest (best) server. BUT it helps if I select a remote server such as Bulgaria or Israel and increase my ping with it.
Germany (my home) > Bulgaria > Frankfurt (AWS server) > Bulgaria > Germany (my home) = ~80ms
WTF?
It works best with 100ms. Strange right?
Fact 1: Ping below 20ms is unplayable (often)
Fact 2: Ping ~80-100ms is awesome (often)
Fact 3: Gunplay vs X-Box players is conspicuously weird (always)
I haven't experienced anything like this in a single game! I've been playing since the 80's (Commodora C64/128).
It's not my hardware.
It's not my software.
It's not my connection.
It's not the server (EU-Frankfurt).
It's the squashed netcode!
My turkish friend (with high ping) doesn't have any problems except with x-box players. I only have problems with less than 20ms.
<20ms = maximum game delay (artificial)
PS: sometimes my figure feels like it's made of wood. as if the joints were made of wood. it's like a micro-tremor.
DICE finally destroyed the game with the netcode. thanks!

TTK is still long and TTD is still unchanged for me.
