I took some 15 second captures last night to take a look at what was going on, because it's starting to feel like to me, server side lag compensation. I took clips where I felt like I got the drop on someone or should have won the gunfight and looked at them frame by frame. The pattern that I'm starting to see is something like this.
1. me - first hit. Usually upper chest
2. enemy - hit me. Directional hit marker
3. me - second hit. Dance either direction
4. enemy - hit me. doubled directional hit marker
5. me - third hit and starting to go down
6. enemy - third hit marker on me and I'm down
7. enemy at 56%
This is without headshots. Nine times out of ten if I get a headshot marker, it doesn't seem to count as I still lose the battle with the above pattern. I don't think it matters the enemies weapon though I've been dropped on the second shot a few times with SMGs from distance, but that's another discussion. Also, the stim gun registers about 50% of the time. I have video of me firing it, getting the audio queue that it hit, see the green mist and get no points and no healing occurs.
I used to have bad hit reg when I played on DSL, but this is sad for a modern game in 2022.
Pfffff....it's realy time to fix this
