I have noticed on occasions I can go 3 or 4 rounds of rubbish hit detection and then the next round there's a big improvement.
I had a simular experience yesterday. Finaly my bullets did some damage, and i actualy could kill some. But getting killed from a angle while i was way behind a corner, still happend to many times. And the instantly one shot deaths ( non snipers ) when i came around a corner even from far distances, didn't felt right. Today is a new day...lets see what kind of unrealistic/nonsens this game brings.

Yeah it has been happening way too often and for way too long. ☹️
There has to be a fix coming for this in Season 2, it really can't be allowed to drag on indefinitely as it is a real game breaker imho. - 3 years ago@RayD_O1 They never do hot fixes? I mean smaller studios do it all the time. Why can’t a huge
Studio like this? - RayD_O13 years agoHero@Sc0tch_Whiskey
Yeah I have been advocating for hot fixes on a few topics. - 3 years ago@RayD_O1 Yea I remember. I think since the game has been out there has been only two or three hot fixes that I remember.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Game breakers quickly turn into game uninstallers...👿100% agree it has to be addressed asap. it is virtually unplayable at times and in it's current state will do nothing to retain / attract players that's for sure.
We can only hope they are working on it and we will get a fix alongside the launch of Season 2 in a few days time.

I see this thread has been created quite some time ago. Just to expand on the issues that has been raised in this topic (
I play on PC with a sufficient system in Europe with a stable wired internet connection for reference.):
1. When I shoot at an enemy I get hit markers, but I sometimes don't get confirmation that the enemy has been downed until a second or two after the last shot was taken.
2. When I jump out of a vehicle, it takes too long for the game to respond to the firing input from my mouse. There seems to be a massive delay.
3. The TTK feels inconsistent between two enemies that are at the same distance from you with the same weapons.
4. Sometimes when I hipfire, the delay between my mouse's input and what I see on screen is too long.

This is a problem for me as well. I notice that the input doesn't stack like in other titles either. What I mean by that is, if I fire a weapon, then throw a grenade and then reload, that's left mouse, forward mouse thumb button and then R on the keyboard. With other titles, I can press left mouse, release and hit the grenade key and then hold R until the animation finished and then it'll reload. That doesn't happen with 2042. There are many many instance where I'll press a key or mouse button only for nothing to happen. I'm not 100% if it's input lag, server lag not getting the input, (kind of like the phantom hit markers that don't count) of if it's animation delay and the input was rejected because an animation wasn't finished. It's gotten me killed a lot and doesn't happen in other games. This one is just coded badly all around.

Yesterday again was a typical "you shoot!, you die!" day. Realy!..it takes the fun right out the game!
- 3 years ago@Mackstan71 This should not be happening after 9 months of being released. Not one bit at all! Such a sad team to let this happen for so long.
- RayD_O13 years agoHero@Mackstan71
I know exactly how you feel.!
Yesterday I had a few nightmare rounds where none of my shots seemed to count, so frustraing. 😞
I had 21 ping and I have a solid connection but it was another horrible gaming experience, I just gave up in the end. - GrizzGolf3 years agoSeasoned Ace
I just wish we had more consistency when we play

Me too, I played a round on Exposure yesterday afternoon and honestly I couldn't hit a thing.
The next round I got put into the Exposure map again and hit reg was working again, I changed nothing in between.
As you rightly say there is simply no consistency.
This has to be addressed asap otherwise we won't be able to enjoy Season 2.

I've reached the point that i think twice for starting this game. you hope to have a decent game, but you know you gonnna get disappointed. The same goes for season 2..it's sad but true that i have to say that i have little faith in it. These core problems are here too long now, that i wonder if it's fixable.
- 3 years ago@Mackstan71 Hitreg was the finally issue that I stopped playing over a month ago. That along with the frustration with not having a server browser and being able to find a match was to much. It just isn’t worth it. And I really want to play season two and check out the new map and features but I’m pretty sure it will be the same experience.

Are these issues a bit too much for them maybe?, too difficult for this team to repair and add? I hope not..that will not look good for the future of this game and this franchise. Lots of gamers already have quit playing this game, that has to be a big sign - GrizzGolf3 years agoSeasoned Ace

No matter what for the past month my first round of the day I don't take too seriously because I end up in a game where I cant hit anything.
- 3 years ago@Mackstan71 I know it’s not easy for them. Can’t be as easy as hey this is it. good now fixed within minutes. It’s been how long now? But what’s concerning is this is a billion dollar company that cannot give millions of customers an answer. Not one! I have a small business with 8 employees. When a customer has an issue we try to solve it ASAP and if not we get back to the customer and make it right. Not stay quiet not ignore the customer. Making our customers happy and believe in us is PRIORITY, it’s what keeps my business going everyday. How can they have faith in me as the Owner and my employees if we fail them constantly. They can’t. And this is what happened to EA/Dice.

I am also hoping that the hit reg issues fix comes with the launch as the whole gaming experience depends on it.
Nobody will be able to enjoy playing the new content if they can't shoot anyone, fingers crossed it gets sorted.
- 3 years ago@RayD_O1 I sure will try tomorrow. Hope all is good and we can get back to having fun.
Can’t imagine it’s going to change as it playing as it’s intended to play.
The lag compensation is the clear problem due to servers being switched off and having to mitigate these players onto higher ping servers.
Your never gonna get a good gaming experience when pings are all over the place and lag compensation is set so high!

Hopefully Season 2 update will have some fixes for this. It would be nice to play without this being an issue for once.

Ok guys, I'm done. For a few days, games were decent and hit reg was somewhat """consistent""" (still have massive rubber bullets problems tho) and right after S2 patch this morning, most of bullets just make blood spray everywhere but are still not counted by the server, resulting in the infamous "you shoot, you die" BF2042 gameplay...
IDK about you guys, but it seems I'm not allowed to kill console players anymore too, pretty annoying thb.
I'm really thinking about unistalling the game, even tho the new content seems cool and the new map is pretty fun. But what's the point of playing a FPS game in which you're just a moving target ?
PLUS: Bonus point for the ALAT being at least 80ms in best the case scenarios and more inbetween 140-160ms.
(PS: Sorry for all the complaining and stuff, but I'm so frustrated by the gameplay rn... I felt like it would be good to tell you guys how my games go, but all I do is let my frustration go out and be a crybaby.) - GrizzGolf3 years agoSeasoned Ace
