Just search for the videos about this, players have been running around all these games with zero recoil, macro shots and using KBM + Controller enabled Aim-Assist basically a soft-cheat that was left unchecked. In the nearly 700 hours of BF2042 i have played, i have seen 1, yes ONE, legitimate cheater who wiped half the map of enemy players on Orbital within 30 seconds. and it was just recent.... like 2 weeks ago. kill feed was nothing but this player. so this argument that PC is nothing but cheaters is pretty devoid. but now, you have these devices that emulate a KBM into a controller and Aim-Assist gets enabled PLUS the settings they can adjust that give the player pretty much ZERO RECOIL, its about time that they are put down.

@DPsx7 Really? That’s your take away? Allowing a device to control recoil instead of you personally controlling the recoil is ok with you? Them being able to use macros that you can’t is ok with you? Or are you protesting as some day you’ll lose your competitive edge that warms your heart at night? Peripherals like Cronus have no place in the game anymore than PC hax have. They’re used by sad pathetic little people to gain an unfair advantage. I’d like to see them banned and players who use them also banned. If it’s illegal to ban players outright (it’s not but let’s say) then a stats wipe is appropriate. Start over playing the same as the rest of us.

Interesting thing is that way back a DICE dev (_jjju_) weighed in on this topic. @AOD_CapStar362 These devices aren't cheating. They see no part of the game software and can't actually play for you. They just allow one method of control to take place of another.

@ATFGunr I don't think it's as useful as you think. Someone abusing the device would need to calculate the values for every gun and then switch them constantly. The best way to control recoil is tapping the trigger or using burst fire and anyone can do that.

Macros are more for fighters. Where in an FPS are you inputting combos?

The reason I get involved is because FPS were designed for M/KB and consoles NEED native support. It's no different than having wheels for racing or joysticks for fighters. It's a preference. If you think it's better, go use it. Acting like every third party controller for any kind of game is somehow 'cheating' is pretty juvenile. Next you'll cry because someone has a better TV or faster internet. What about surround sound?
